Advice needed - tablets

I just want a no-frills tablet mainly so I can work through my downloaded collection of WW2 aircraft, ships and AFVs (sad, I know) in bed. I won't be watching movies or doing much on the internet. Is the Tesco Hudl 2 OK? I've heard of problems with the screen cracking but it gets very good reviews.
