I've only been posting for a couple of days. Apologies if I have posted a bit too often - the novelty will wear off. Anyway, I think the site is on the whole a credit to those who use it. People may have different opinions but they seem to respect each other and posts are generally reasoned and considered. It is a pleasure to be a part of it. UTM.

No apologies for posting often but you have been slightly fortunate, Smiler. I fell victim to a stalker on here recently who counted all my posts and denounced me for being a clique. It's very pleasant to get people like you on board but I keep a weather eye open for the Angry Brigade coming over from MM.
You seem a good poster to me smiles and are most welcome.
Its a more sophisticated site than MM and Exeter as well as joining in is an excellent moderator.
I think I am correct in saying that he has not had to intervene even once.
There is a bit of banter on here as you will have seen but it's kept at a non abusive level and only involves those who want to play.
You are dead right, K and I can't understand MM. Is it something they put in the water? Everybody seems so frigging angry. The default position is to demand a banning and the mods should really work in the Gulag. On Saturday a decent poster of 7 years' standing made 2 posts saying he was cheesed off with Evans and Frogmiller rode in ordering him to stop making ALL these negative posts or face the consequences. Two = all in Perigord apparently.
Almost a week into my Banter adventure and I have learned so much. Some love Steve and will forgive him anything and others see no future with him. Our relationships with each other are at times fraught but are on the whole respectful and are underpinned by our common love for the football club. That same common love binds us to our brothers and sisters on The Other Site - so much so that some posters can not help themselves and are drawn across like a moth to a flame (or like Lord Sewell to his ladies of the night; which of them were the prostitutes in that seedy affair?). Fascinating stuff and so much like so many other family.

You seem a decent bloke, Smiler, but it's a bit early in the morning to be drinking. The "common love" on MM usually ends in Screw the bums.
Thank Kid, but no drinking here. There are members of my own family that I would rather not speak to, but we learn to 'rub along'. Six days of participation on this site have also taught me that many posters have their tongues firmly in their cheeks.

True, Smiler. Kempo and Zilzal often have their tongues between their cheeks but we run a broadminded ship on here.
