Keep the faith. Denial and anger will be superceded by acceptance and we will all begin to enjoy the experience. I, for one, am refraining from saying "I told you so" so won't mention I had us as relegation certs before a ball was kicked. Not so much lions led by donkeys as donkeys recruited by an idiot.

Welcome back, ridgeway.
Hope you are well.
Thanks, Andy. As well as can be expected. I don't worry too much about football anymore. The 60s did for me what with the World Cup and Tommy the Doc at Millmoor. Broken dreams and downhill all the way after that.
For some reason i have a vision of the "Shinning poster" with Jack Nicholson. Being a certain someone looking into rufc dressing room is that good/bad ?
That's a beautiful journey ridgeway. Knew you would join me in the Vale of tears.
Well Ian I'm not sure what to make of Pidg's reference to "The Shining" although it wouldn't surprise me if Evans signed JN. The journey was interesting. My father and elder brother were big Millers fans through the post war era and Danny Williams was a friend of the family. When the great team was broken up and sold off they jacked it. I got into football big style with the 1966 WC win and then when we brought in Tommy Doc we all knew that the First Division beckoned. Disillusionment followed and the departure of Watson and Downes broke my heart. I don't let it get to me any more.
