FAO Kempo: Name and shame

Dear K, after our many years of supportive banter I was slightly nonplussed by your statement on here that "You might fool some Ridgeway...but not me Kevin."

This is odd on two counts.  Firstly, your use (once again) of "Kevin" implies that you have some special knowledge regarding my identity not generally known to other Banter members.  This is ridiculous.  I posted a link on here to a TV programme of mine and mentioned several articles which can be easily found on the web all of which give my full name and (in the case of the articles) my full postal address.  Several members of another site have received dvds from me which they had difficulty obtaining and which I provided free and all consignments provided my full name and address.

Secondly, for someone who has for many years guarded their own identity as closely as you this behaviour is rather inconsistent.

Finally, I can't imagine what you mean by suggesting I am fooling or trying to fool anyone on Banter.  The opinions I express are mine and fairly clear.  The interests I mention are genuine as are the programmes and articles.  I think you have got the wrong end of a stick here but I remain hopeful of better relations in the future.  By the way as a Practitioner with the NHS would it be possible for you to get hold of a summerhouse for me as it would help with my anxiety problems?  Please let me know.

No problems with any of that ridgeway.....if that is your present chosen name then that's fine with me.

I have bagged myself a free summerhouse as you will see in my next photo so will not be eligible for another one until the next financial year.

Maybe I could interest you in a pedalo.

On guarding my own identity then like many others and in keeping with site rules, I am exercising my right to a username thus remaining anonymous.

Anonymity allows me to expose failings of the NHS without the fear of any restrictive external pressure being exerted.

My real name for anyone interested can be found by simply clicking on my username on here...a feature of the site that has caught out a few.

It's certainly a small world.  Von Reclinghausen (Freidrich not Rufus though) is the name of my wine wholesaler in Westphalia.  His grandfather was a WWI pilot in the Red Baron's Flying Circus.  Any relation?  freidrich will be overjoyed to know there is a Canklow branch in the family.

K, I forgot to say that while I respect your right to privacy I also agree with Dr Johnson who, on being shown an unsigned critical review of his first play, said "Anonimity, no validity."

What I do know is that you two are trying to drag this site down a level. Both of you are intelligent posters and I propose a truce. Please let's not get into a MillersMad 2 situation.

H, Exeter is right.  Your accusation is hurtful and unfounded.  Our more innocent posters can protect themselves by not reading RK posts headed FAO Kempo which are likely to contain playful but mischievious banter.smile

All very true but can anyone answer my genius level quiz question of how do I like my coffee?...reasoning must be given.

The clue or clues appear in this thread.

Heman does not need to participate in this subliminal attempt to bring down the moral structure of our entire society.

Kempo - I have a damaged Myolin Sheath near my C7 which presents as burning in my right little finger. I am on tramadol, co-codamol, Amytryptoline and diazapam. That's why I am such a misery. Apologies to you both.

No problem Heman...

Hope your neck gets better soon.

If your present coc..tail of drugs doesnt work then discuss trying pregabalin instead of amitryptyline with your doctor.

I have tried all sorts of combinations for my inguinal neuralgia and Tramadol plus Pregabalin has been the best

I can tell you from both sides of the desk that pregabalin is a significantly better drug for nerve pain although doctors in some regions are encouraged to use the very cheap amitriptyline which in my experience is also poorly tolerated by patients.

Apologies for interfering too much but I trust that your doctor is aware that you take both Tramadol and Cocodamol in the same regime.

I would not say that this is contraindicated but it's not ideal to use two such drugs together.

Again apologies for getting involved but cannot resist if I feel that I can offer any help on such things.

Good luck in dealing with such a painful condition and I hope that Mrs Heman is more sympathetic than Mrs K!

You know in the film City Slickers where Billy Crystal says you have to find your 'one thing'?

Well ours is to look after each other. She has been through hell with 5 years of being ill before a nephrectomy removed her failing kidney.

Then I had two leg ops.

Then she had a year of shall we say lady issues.

now I have this trapped nerve.

we have always been there for each other and I can honestly say it's made our marriage stronger than most.

but I still hate shopping and she hates footy so we do our own thing then.

H, please never apologise to me.  I only posted my comments because it's a fine line bewteen generating banter and posting too much.  I started off on here with lots of stuff, got rebuked for being an egomaniac, stopped posting and the OT section went dead for a week.  It's a hard job but someone's got to do it.wink
