Here we go!

We've already moved up a place after Huddersfield's defeat to Burnley last night. REG started for the hosts!

Today won't tell us very much about how our fortunes will go this season. The squad is far from complete and we will have a host of debutants in the starting XI. However, every point is going to count this season and if we can catch Swansea in an early season slumber, we would do ourselves an enormous favour by putting 1 or 3 points on the board.

Looking forwards to getting back into the routine and to seeing our new players. Now all I have to do is find last year's season ticket.

Have a good one everyone.

Onwards and upwards!!

I'd have taken a point before the game so happy with that. Only listened to the first half and after a shaky 15mins a the start I thought the lads settled down and gave as many problems to Swansea as gave us. An unstoppable equaliser from Darling but I'm encouraged considering the new faces in the side. A point is a point, the performance bodes well.

Broke down in Cuddington! Just being towed home. Managed to watch game on a phone via a dodgy provider. Swansea looked very good but we were excellent. Like you Calypso, a great point!

Just seen the stats. Only had 26% possession but had 9 shots 8 on target. We competed and closed em down dispute their superior possession. Btw, listening to P&G on radio Sheffield and the first 3 calls were from Wednesday fans moaning, the first game of the season and already slagging the players off, they really are pathetic.

We did only have 26% possession but in honesty most of their possession was confined to passes across their back three thanks to the incessant pressing of the Rotherham lads! Thought it was a great performance today with a great intent to get forward right to the end of the game!

I agree with those thoughts. No offence to them (as everybody contributed well) but I think one or two who probably werent ready to play yet were forced to turn out for us yesterday out of necessity. We were fair value for a point. I think it was important for our self belief to get something. We will have to press and chase the ball in plenty of game so the five sub rule might help us more than most. Get some fit bodies back and maybe another addition or two and we should be competitive.
