Just heard Neil Hague has passed away aged 72, I was a lad about 15ish and
still at school when he was a player and don't recall too much about him except he was a grafter and being a Rotherham lad gave a good account of himself. I 'm not sure when he left and off hand where he went to but it must have been in the early 70s. Another Miller moves on.
I think he hailed from Thurcroft. We sold him to Plymouth but I remember him playing his best football at Hull City where I think he spent a few years. 72 is no great age these days. A great shame.
Just read the obituary on the official site. The club is good at that sort of thing, by the way. Totally wrong about Hull so apologies for that. They had a player called Haigh at about the same time. In my mind it was the same player but clearly not.
