No point discussing team selection or tactics for this one; the only subject worth discussing is wind! The forecast appears to show the gales abating late afternoon/early evening so it should be breezy for the game. Only problem I have is I'll have to leave south Lincoln when the winds are forecast to be 80mph!
Hoping it goes ahead - it would be infuriating for it to be cancelled late on if I've made the journey (and for the Wigan fans).
Keep the ball on the deck and lets try and extend that gap at the top.
Stay safe Glenn. This has the feel of a storm that could be exceptionally nasty in some parts of the country. The problem might not be the conditions at NYS at 7.45, it might be whether people are able to travel safely to get there particularly from the other side of the Pennines. Fingers crossed it is on and there is no drama.
Earlier it said winds would ease off about 6pm but the forecast now is for these high winds to persist into the late night. I'm saying every chance this could be called off.
Maintains the status quo. Thought we just edged it in the 2nd half but goes without saying I would have preferred to see a 9pt gap. That said I would have taken that result before the game. Stunning goal from Rathbone.
Great entertainment and well worth the dodgy drive to get there. Harding had his best game for us imo - sensational. Ollie's goal, as well as their's, absolutely top drawer. Auto spots 1 &2 to be shared between these two sides!
