Going into this game in a far more relaxed manner than previous encounters. If they beat us, we'll still be 10 points ahead of them with an enormous goal difference advantage. I think we'll miss Grigg and the big question is, who will take his place? Three contenders; Ladapo, JJ and Kelly. My heart says JJ but my head says Freddie. JJ to come on first replacement and get a brace! Midfield also causes Warnie a headache with Lindsay playing so well at Wimbledon and PW's policy of keeping the shirt suggesting Jamie should start. However, if fit, it would take a brave manager to leave Rathbone out.  Looks like a great following of Millers' fans so this one should be a classic (away win!).

Always a nail biter for me. Although I stopped smoking a good 40 years ago, I used to get through a packet of No6 back in the day. Theses days I wouldn't go to watch us against Wednesday, the tension would have my BP going through the roof and probably induce a heart attack. Despite us having a decent record against them in recent years and have faith in the boys, I'll not look at the result until Monday when all the dust has settled and the game passed into history.

Another fair day with regard to the results of the teams below us, except Wigan. A decent result for us tomorrow will see us pull that bit further away from the main pack. Up the Millers.

Feels like a free hit for us after today's results. Hope we do ourselves justice and show the great british public what we can do. McBride, Garner, Barker, Ladapo...who will be the latest Miller to write their name into folklore for a legendary goal at Hillsborough?

Ps I think Ladapo should start. Send him out on the basis that it's a shop window and it's a game where experience might count for something. Having said that we dont know what Freddie's frame of mind really is and I'd be happy to see JJ given a go.

Filthy day. Filthy pitch. Might be a game where one mistake is the difference.

It wasn't good, it wasn't pretty, but it's what the team who are about to win the league do! Complete reversal of the performance at NYS when we dominated and they won 0-2. Couldn't be happier!!

It felt fitting playing on a Sunday on a Sunday League pitch. When we play well we win well. When we are poor we still usually get a result. That's why we are top. Great effort from the boys and it feels very good indeed

Well, I couldn't wait till Monday to see the result, but the angst of looking at the phone for the result was dreadful...then the result 0-2, so overjoyed. A gray rainy day down here in the Lincolnshire Fens but a the sun always shines somewhere.

Owls fans are bleating a lot about bad refereeing and bad luck. Really? They seem to forget that we battered them at NYS but lost and that the all important first goal that day was offside but allowed. And that they beat Wigan midweek with the dodgiest of penalty decisions. You win some you lose some. Yes, they were the better side in general play today but they couldnt do that thing you need to do to win a game I.e. score a goal. We played as poorly as we have for a long time but won. And at this stage of the season who cares about anything other than the result?

Well said Smiler. No qualms at claiming a legitimate victory today - goodness knows how many times things have gone against us against the Owls in the past. The pitch and conditions were a major contributory factor to the poor standard of football today - although Wednesday managed the conditions well. For me, it's a major hurdle for us to clear and should we record a victory on Friday, I'll be reasonably confident of our automatic elevation!

Calypso - couldn't imagine you waiting till Monday to check the results! As you're in the Lincolnshire Fens, I'm surprised you couldn't hear me cheering in Great Hale!!

Fantastic result against a form team. First half we were awful with the ball but defended really well and despite their dominance they had few clear chances. I felt it significant that we got to half time without conceding - though that seems to be a formality for us. Second half we looked more like us but their counter attacks were strong and some great defending again. I dont think it should have been a corner but great to see this training ground move executed so well again and Freddie goes into the history books by scoring two Hillsbrough winners! Great finish by Smudge to kill it off. The league situation looks great. A tough run of games to come but i prefer us against the better teams than against the strugglers to be fair.

I agree DKNY that getting to half time level was key. In my half time review over Whatsapp with my brothers, I predicted that the game would go the same way as the NYS encounter where we dominated but SWFC came out 0-2 winners. I don't get many right but I'll take that one!!

Smudge has scored at the Leppings Lane end for three successive seasons now he must have earned god like status amongst the Millers faithful. Did we deserve it? probably not but did they deserve to beat us 2-0 at NYS? Swings & roundabouts. Beat Wigan on Friday & Tony should be giving the engravers a ring for the L1 Champions trophy.
Buzzing..... UTM

Great to have the posters back. This could be great site given half a chance. It sounds like we all had similar thoughts during the game. I was saying to my daughter that if we got to half time nil nil we would surely come out and be better second half. We couldnt play that poorly second half as well. As it happens we werent miles better but we definitely improved. Rathbone helped. Funnily enough and whether it was misplaced confidence or foolishness I dont know, but I never really thought that Wednesday were going to score. For all that Vickers was quite busy he didnt really have a difficult save to make.

Yeah - we had two good chances and put them both away. They had a hat full and never looked like scoring. Apparently it's because Windass and Gregory weren't available - uumm?
