Number 3 in a hectic February schedule and 6 points from 6 already in the bag. Wimbledon haven't won for 10 league games; their last victory was 7th Dec at Accrington. On paper, we should be odds on to win this one but we all know that stands for nothing. With Woody and REG out and Icky doubtful, we may have a makeshift back 3/4 with Harding and Mattock on the flanks presumably and Odoffin central? We might struggle with a lack of height at the back so we need to be careful from set pieces. With Wednesday coming up on Saturday I'd be happy with 3 or 4 points from our next two games. The Owls could do us a huge favour tonight by holding Wigan to a draw or even beating them.
Class performance from the entire squad. Results have gone our way elsewhere and we're looking down on the rest of the League from a heady height. Congrats to JJ for brilliantly finishing that fabulous flowing move. We're going to take some catching!!
Shame on me Glenn, totally forgot the game tonight so after reading your post I quickly looked up the results. All the leading pack dropped points tonight except us and now have a 9pt lead. Even if Wigan win all 3 of their games in hand we'd still be on top due to goal difference. It sure is exciting times.
Very professional performance. We honestly looked two divisions better than Wimbledon. It was as convincing as a 1-0 win can be. Nice cushion at the top now going into a tough run of games. Hopefully we wont run out of players! Huge performances tonight I thought from Ihiekwe, Wiles and Ferguson. On Ferguson that has turned out to be such a shrewd signing. His decision making is top class, he is composed and he has a tremendous left foot. Superb.
I'd like some of the old members back. It's a bit of a tumbleweed site theses days despite Glenn and smilers efforts. The week or so the site appeared to be down didn't help.
Calypso - I suspect the majority of previous posters are still trying to access the site via their usual bookmark and it fails to work. They therefore assume the site is closed. I'm surprised Ian is not contributing as I thought he was a Moderator. I sent him a message via the site over a month ago but have had no response. Shame.
I know I'm off topic here Glenn but it is a shame. Apart from the notorious 2 , now thankfully gone, I found this platform a friendlier place than MM with some decent debates.
I'm afraid I'm not a football analyst from a technical point of view having never played the game, I watch a game simply for the excitement aspect, I am therefore not a regular contributor when discussing tactics and formations but I'm trying to give you guys a bit of support in keeping the site ticking over for now.
I appreciate that Calypso. I've tried contacting the admin email address at the top of the page but the email gets rejected. I assume it's Exeter but according to his profile, he's not accessed the site since June last year. I'm not sure how else to resurrect the site. Messages can be sent to other previous contributors but they need to access the site to see the message. So I'm at a bit of a loss really and it looks like a small select group of contributors until one of the moderators shows themselves again. I assume they would be able to contact members via normal email and advise them to reset their bookmarks?
