I wouldnt start Ogbene and Ferguson who have been called up for their countries. Im also not sure if Grigg is available. Miller is out apparently. Great opportunity for players like Sadlier, Bola, Odoffin and Kayode to get playing time. Also Lindsay depending where he is with his recovery. Bromley are no mugs and will be coming fancying it. Honestly I'm not bothered one bit about the result. If we win fine as long as there are no injuries.
From what i hear on twitter and in the press
Grigg and REG both have permission to play, Lindsey starts training Monday so wont be involved. Mattock back in training the following Monday. Miller likely to miss out as Smiler suggests. Wiles might be a doubt.
Warney intends to field a strong team.
All the signs are that Grigg will be with us for the rest of the season. Sunderland dont mind him being cup tied and he did play one game for them before joining us, and there is (I think) still a rule that you cant play for three teams in the EFL in the same season. When he left everyone made it clear that he was never playing for Sunderland again. All good news if that is all correct. We dont want to rush Mattock or Lindsay back bit it's a shame this game is a bit too soon for them. If we can get away with playing with twelve by the way I'm all for it! It would be good to have a cup run I suppose but Sunderland fans at least seem to be putting some of the blame for their poor league form on their League Cup run and fixture schedule. We are already through in the Mickey Mouse Trophy and have games to rearrange now with international breaks. Do we really want or need the extra games in a competition we know we cant win? On the other hand you want to win every game you play and there is revenue associated with going through. Is that revenue worth the risk of missing promotion if we pick injuries up etc? It's a difficult balance.
No game till the 20th Nov after Saturday. Smith will be suspended for that game so i would definitely start him. I would give Wiles a rest as he appears to be getting niggles (not stopped him playing well). Miller. Mattock , Lindsay and McDonald will play no part. Plenty to choose from and it looks like Grigg and Reg are available for selection.
I would go with
Viking
Reg Wood Harding
Barlaser
Ogbene Rathbone Sadlier Bola.
Smith Grigg.
I would give Rathbone and Sadlier licence to get forward in a similar vein that Wiles and Rathbone do.
I think smudge, Wiles and rathbone need a rest. And, since smudge is missing next league game, I will plumb for looking at my options without him, so I'll be swapping the partnership up front at half time.
I'd play ogbene in second half at some point regardless of his international call-up. I feel he needs more time in his roll with us. I'll leave Harding out as I know what he's about and I want Reg, woody and icky to have more time as a 3 .
Depending on how the game is going I'd swap wiles and Rathbone at some point or leave Rathbone on the pitch as wiles sounds like me needs some healing time not just rest.
The rest as always benefit from playing together and those couple of fringe players like sads and odoffin could do with full games and a chance to impress and gel.
The 11 all of us have picked, and brads 12 look strong and should be too much for Bromley if we play with max intensity and focus.
Always Looking forward to the cups as one can relax a little and enjoy the football and sit in a different seat . Win-Win .

Enjoyable cup tie and never really looked in trouble. Wiles opening goal absolutely sublime with a great dummy assist from Rathbone. Unusual feeling this - winning an FA cup tie!
PW , can look at the likes of Bola , and compare icky and Reg with Woody. Sads, played very well and I think he's starting to get in the managers mind again. Grigg gets a goal and boosts his confidence some more and the joy Freddie shows at the moment makes me thinks he's very motivated because of Grigg. I though JJs hold up play was very good.
And, of course Wiles and the midfield were up for it and what a lovely goal.
As PW said, "I really hope the fans realise what an amazing group of players these are".
Sad for Odoffin. He's having a difficult time. Hopefully he's the kind who responds with determination and focus.

A job well done. Perfect result at S6 today and more pressure piling on Lee Johnson at Sunderland. Who do we want in the next round? I'd like Chesterfield, home or away.
Careful what you wish for regarding Sunderland Smiler. A change of manager might bring a change of attitude towards Grigg!
Chesterfield would be a great 2nd round tie - their goal machine Tshimanga is a player to watch and one that's going to attract a big offer before too long.
Replays to be played by Wigan, Plymouth, Oxford, Wednesday, Wycombe, MK Dons and Ipswich. Perfect. Fair point Glenn about Johnson. One day somebody will take charge there and storm the league so the longer Johnson is there the better because it wont be him.
Thanks for that Brad. Decent draw that. Either the resurgent Stockport or the best team in League One (!). Either should bring a very healthy following and we are capable of beating whichever of them it turns out to be.
