I didnt know Mr Bennett or much about him apart from the business name associated with the family stand. Clearly he provided valuable sponsorship to the club and was a lifelong fan. The tribute on the club website seems heartfelt to me and those who did know the gentlemen seemed to hold him in very high esteem. RIP indeed. I think the club gets this sort of thing spot on and it helps to generate the feeling of a community that they talk about. I can speak first hand on that. Me and my family are ordinary supporters but several times the club has gone above and beyond for us. The talk of being a community/family club is more than just talk. We do a lot of things very well.
