Another intriguing game.

Gone with the battle of the bulge last week and into the charge of the light brigade this. The Millers face a fast , possession based team with no shortage of on the ball skill and tricks to unlock the sturdiest defences.

Last week they took my tip for promotion Wigan to the cleaners. Any team that can score twice including responding to an equaliser has something about them. If they can beat Wigan they can beat us .

I think woody could be rested for this one after sustaining a knock during our WWE bout with Wycombe. Rathbone was described as exhausted and may also not start .mattock is out too, but icky is said to be match fit after a slight pull to his groin...I've never been fit enough to even play 5-a-side after a slight pull nevermind at this level. Still, we trust the physios.

Personally, I liked the look of vickers the other night and I'd keep him between the sticks. I think PW, is more reasonable than moi and I think Victor will get the shirt back.

It might be a very interesting starting 11.

I'll tek a point and a burger now if you offered it me.

Johannson is the no 1 fair dos but Warne has always said players who do well should stay in on merit so Vickers should play rest of side will pick itself maybe Odoffin for Rathbone if he doesn’t make it Don’t know about subs bench maybe T Rathbone Miller if fit

Vickers looks fine to me so I'm comfortable with him or Viktor. It's the midfield three where we look light with Lindsay not ready, Wiles apparently has been ill and Rathbone a bit burnt out. Give Odoffin a go, or maybe switch to a 442. Not feeling great about this one. A point would be fine.

I am with Smiler about not feeling too confident about this game. We have a few players with niggles and more serious injuries. I think Wiles is now ok and will play. Mk Dons have had more possession than any team in this league. They also have some pace in the team.I have a feeling Wood will be rested for this game and his organisational skills will be missed.

M.K have Daniel Harvie out through suspension. They will miss him as he is a pacey left wing back who creates problems. Possibly their best player this season has been Scott Twine who is scoring goals and highly rated. He also has a niggle but is expected to play.

I think i would return the Viking to the team. I would also go with Harding as left side of a back three with Reg and Ihiekwe as the other two. It might be time to give Rathbone a rest but the energy lost by leaving him out could be dangerous as we cannot put Lindsay in his place. With Harding going into the back three i think we have to start with Ogbene on the right and Ferguson on the left. My team is

Viking

Reg Ihiekwe Harding

Odoffin

Ogbene Barlaser Wiles Ferguson

Smith Grigg

I think odoffin back there makes most sense if the sports science indicates rathbone needs rest still.

Looking at that team written down Whiston it seems OK to me given I did like the look of odoffin in the couple of games he's been in. Barlasar has been working hard and he could do well further advanced .

Sadlier, wouldn't get a consideration for me in this game due to his defensive weakness as one would expect the high press to be what we'd want to do. If woody misses out then a little more pace might be a decent exchange given the type of football they will play. Thar being said, there's nothing like a real solid defender smashing balls out of the box.

We are back to Harding on the left as a consideration. Of course, he could be left out with bola taking his place. PW has tried that down the left with fergie a couple of times.

All told we can still field a strong side.

Massive statement Smiler. Delighted that Freddie got on the scoresheet - could do him the world of good, especially with Grigg being absent for the Sunderland game. Slightly behind the enjoyment of seeing Rotherham win is listening to the Owls' fans melting down on PorG - excellent!! UTM

Good point about Freddie, Glenn. We will need him next week. I thought he did well against Wycombe in all fairness. He will always get his share of goals and I still think he will have a big part to play this season.

Darren Moore v Paul Warne post match interviews - if ever anyone needed convincing that we have the right man in charge, just have a listen. One is thoughtful, intelligent, eloquent, informative, honest and entertaining. The other is Darren Moore!!

Moore will be gone by Christmas the fans aren't warming to him at all and they won't be winning this league. PW will be a target for them I'm sure.

NY - I think PW has a sufficient common-sense to turn down any approach from S6!

Fabulous performance. Took about 15 minutes to get on top, which is 10 minutes much quicker than usual.

Rathbone was unbelievably good . He literally could have kept them at bay himself second half. Wiles was good all game but especially first half. Defence was jolly good and vickers keeps his place ( great to have two keepers competing-very rare indeed). Barlasar , kept up the form from 2 previous outings being good in defence as well as attack. Grigg and smudge work quite well together. The width was good today and miller impressed for me again.

Final word for PW. Great to see him leading by example during and after the game. At times like this having a manager that has that extra connection to the club is very sweet.

We are a joy to watch at the moment and in my opnion this is the best all round squad we've had for decades.

I hope we can keepthe majority fit.

It's great to look forward to every game....

 Indeed.

I was more aghast and disappointed that i didn't park elsewhere.  Got suckered punched. Did have a good shop before the game though. Got myself much needed work clothes (for when I'm finally back in the office and lose a bit of this lockdown weight) from M&S.
