Who's going to shine in LG1...

Two player's who i hope will shine in LG1 are Freddie Ladapo & Ben Wiles.

Ladapo proven striker at this level, and hopefully will have smudge at the side of him.

Ben Wiles, make or break for him this season, he has to control that midfield like Gerrard and Lampard.

Assuming Crooks and Smith will not be here we still have plenty of players who have done very well in league one before. I'm thinking particularly of Ihiekwe, Lindsay, Barlaser, Sadlier, Ogbene and Ladapo. A fit Mattock is a good league one player as is a fit Angus. There wont be many better defenders in the division than Wes Harding. Add a couple of good signings to that group and we dont have a lot to fear. I'm hoping that Kayode will come through and am looking forward to seeing him. The player who had a big season ahead of him is Ben Wiles. He isnt a kid any more. He has 100 or so games behind him now - many of them in the Championship. He has a lot going for him. If he is going to go on and be the player lots of people think he can be he really needs to push on. I think he can be a star at this level. In fact the more I look at the names mentioned above the more confident I feel.

Every season its the same and some have gone and some come in. Was a blow to lose Vaulks and Ajayi but we got on with it and found decent players. Always be a selling club but we seem to find decent players anyway. Ogbene, Wiles, Ladapo are three who should shine in L1.

We have the spine of a good team that can do well, hipefully warne will use the players strengths in the proper positions, no more square pegs in round holes ans plays wiles in midfield
