Olosunde is definitely leaving the club. Overall I thought he did a decent job for us over a couple of seasons after we picked him up on a free transfer. He is quick and athletic, and at times looked a real threat raiding forwards. I will always remember a last ditch block he got during the first half of what was a vital game at the time at Accrington which was as good a piece of defending as you could wish to see. At other times for no apparent reason he looked like a total novice. Maybe he is just a confidence player. He clearly thinks he can get a deal in the Championship, so good luck to him. He doesnt owe us anything and hopefully he leaves a better player than he was when he arrived. Who we replace him with should depend on whether Warne wants to play with full backs or wing backs, so it will be interesting to see what type of player we move for.
I think Olosunde missed a great opportunity after the Everton game when his name was on everyone's lips due to his sensational performance. Had he followed that up with more of the same, I suspect a Premier League club would have come looking. As it was, he seemed to fade and his ability to beat players all but disappeared. Whether it was a confidence or a fitness thing, we'll probably never know. Whatever, he's been a good servant for the club and I wish him well wherever he ends up.
I'm not really that interested in towing the oft common ritual of praise for a player who got a good opportunity with us and plays in a relegated team and turns down a contract.
As in many walks of life the grass is often not too greener and can be a dam sight worse . I wish wisdom for all such examples

You win some you lose some Ian. We have picked up our share of out of contract players over the years. Clubs are reluctant to commit to long term deals and players move around far more now than they did previously. The best example was the four wingers a couple of years ago. All were offered new deals, all turned them down, none of them did much since and we havent really missed them. All I ask is that the players with us from time to time give their best while they are here. I think Olosunde did that. I'm not broken up that he is leaving. I wish him well. We should be able to find someone just as good and hopefully better to replace him.
The ideal is that you pick up an Olosunde and he becomes a sellable asset. I am with Glenn in that after the Everton game I thought he might kick on and earn a good new deal with us then maybe a big move somewhere, but he did seem to go backwards for some reason. Maybe a reason we dont know about.
