On OS it states that defensive midfielder, Hakeem Odoffin, 23 signs for us from Hamilton Academicals for an undisclosed fee, subject to FA and EFL ratification and international clearance.

.. good looking signings... but I'd still say we are short on strikers. I'm assuming both Freddie and Smudge stay, but for me it's not enough - I think we need one more striker at least , better 2..

I haven't seen Kayode yet, maybe he can step up - but will still need more IMO

On the face of it Odoffin and Rathbone are the sort of signings we have to make. Good ages, a bit of experience already and scope to get better. Edmonds-Green also looks like he might be very handy. I agree we need another striker. Kayode looks like he can contribute but even with him we look light in that department.

All look good signings for this league. We had Theo Corbeanu lined up on loan from Wolves until Wednesday gazumped us. Wolves fan tells me is a terrific prospect who will be sensational in Lge 1.

If Ladapo starts week in week out he is good for 20 to 25 goals a season in a decent side league one side. With Smith to play off and with the midfield and wide players we have, he will get plenty of chances. I think you have to tolerate the odd missed sitter from him and even the odd anonymous performance in the knowledge that he knows how to get on the end of things and he will score regularly. I think only Toney at Peterborough had more goals per minutes played than Freddie last time we were in this division. Smith isnt prolific but is good for 10 to 15 goals given the service. Again only my opinion, but whether it is 352 or 442, we have to play with two genuine forwards in league one. What we lack is a bit of depth with only Kayode to push Smith and Ladapo for starts and share the work up there. We do need goals from midfield. It looks like Rathbone has a few goals in him. Ogbene and Wiles are two who in my opinion need to add a few goals to their game.

Name that keeps popping up is Sam Cosgrove from Birmingham but there’s 2/3 clubs after him I think Wycombe are favourites Piggies we’re allegedly after him but they’ve since signed Gregory hope we’ve got alternative targets and don’t leave it too late we’re knackered if anything happens to Smith and Ladapo JJ only just starting out I’d like to see Cheio given a go up front with his pace

looks a good prospect, to be fair i like all the players we have signed so far, they all look capable of doing well for us, we as fans need to be patient with them, let them settle in and the management need to give them all chance to show what they can do, this doesn't mean 30 mins here and there

The stats for the Owls game showed the same as last season... we have enough quality all over the pitch except in one department - strikers.

We miss too many chances.

We let strikers go over the last few seasons, some of who constantly score for their new clubs.

So for me we need two things :

1) We MUST get in two additional strikers to add to our goal scoring ability, and

2) We need a new coach for the Strikers we have - we have to get someone in who can coach our strikers and all outfield players
into taking chances and hitting the back of the net.

We are very frustrating to watch....
