Wycombe(H) Easter Monday

No way am i going to defend today's result as i thought we would win to nil. However, to say we will never move forward with Warne is wrong because we have moved forward twice when we have gone down. Oh i forgot the second one was by default and we would have finished way off promotion if the season had finished. LOL.

Today we started poorly and went behind after a couple of minutes. It looked like two sides who have limited ability and lack the quality for this division. We miss too many chances and they took the few they created. Rotherham have passion and try hard but it is not enough in this division i am afraid. I am the biggest Warne fan their is and i know he will be giving everything to keep us up. However, the tools he has at his disposal will always leave him with a job that is very nearly impossible. I agree with the comments about Crookes and Smith and don't understand that apart from Ladapo earning a starting role. It is not over yet and hopefully Wood will come back and tighten up a defence that didn't look great today. Change is needed at our club but until we can get some billionaire involved it will not happen. The quality we get tends to be on division one money and to get us to compete in this division might even be beyond my top manager Chris Hughton. Warne and his team have done a fantastic job to get us up twice. He needs to move on now as some of our supporters want a change. Unfortunately i wouldn't back on his replacement being anywhere near as good. Wednesday one up in first few minutes. It looks like it is one of those days.

Given myself 30 minutes to calm down after that debacle! To start with, we were unfortunate with their first two goals - it always seems to happen to us. However, having weathered the storm and played a decent last 20 minutes of the first half when we created quite a few chances, why on earth did Warney change the line up for the second half? We went from playing half decent stuff to playing agricultural hoofball which played right into Wycombe's hands. Chieo is obviously not fit - really not a good time to reintroduce him. Jozefzoon was even worse than his appalling norm and to see Hirst come on ahead of Sadlier - once again - beggars belief. It was a real case of atrocious management from start to finish and it wasn't helped by the players' inability to impose their style of play on the game. If ever we needed Richard Wood, today was the day.

We've turned a decent chance of Championship survival into a mountain to climb with a couple of miracles on the way. The only bonus is that Toot and Floot aren't around to revel in our defeat!

Toot & Floot will be loving this but enough about them. I am firmly in the Warne out camp but not until relegation is confirmed, his inept tactics were once again found out today. Artell at Crewe would be a great shout. Knows L1, club connections, plays good football & crucially can deliver a *******ing when needed. PW needs to take his fingers out of his ears & read some posts from frankly hurt supporters & realise the unacceptable performance from HIM & his team today.

We are where we are on merit.

It was always a slim chance of staying up.

If we go down then that's right and proper.

Budget needs a big investment otherwise we will always be- and have been these last 50 years- stuck at this level or lower.

We go again.
