close their turnstiles for good at the end of this current 20/21 season?
There's a strong possibility that lower league clubs might put themselves out to pasture as many supporters won't be able to afford match day or even season tickets if and when Covid restrictions are lifted. Footballers might have to take substantial cuts in their wages. If vaccination passports are required that would also exclude lots of youngsters and adults under the age of forty from attending games.

Premier League football survives and the EFL takes a huge hit?
Thought provoking for sure, but could this be the new reality and the new normal?
I do think that clubs are under threat from this pandemic. I haven't read anything conclusive, but I have come across a few articles that have named clubs in deep financial difficulty.
I take the view that our football league structure is a national heritage treasure. I'd like to see the Premier league allocate an emergency fund for day to day costs but not for wages.
