Thoughts on postponements

I see there might be real anxiety about this so thought id start a thread to facilitate .

My initial thought is that these things happen and we have to now make the best of it.

From a managerial view I think id look at starting an entirely weakened 11 for the game that comes up on the week where we will play 3 times ; for instance ; Tuesday,  Thursday, Saturday and then it would be a Tuesday/Wednesday and a Saturday-so I'd put the weaker side out for the Thursday game regardless of opponent.

What would others do?

Would others go with my initial response or mix and match the team to give us a best chance in every game ?

I don't see why we can't play Coventry after 8th May. The reason why 8th May was selected as the last date is to provide the remainder of May for the playoffs - the Premier League continues until 23rd May. Its unlikely that either Coventry or ourselves will be in the playoffs - although I don't want to write off the possibility just yet, we could finish on 74 points - so why can't the EFL act sensibly and schedule the game for 11th or 15th May? Oh, hang on, its going to be Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.

To be fair, it could be problematic us finishing after everybody else. Imagine we play Coventry after everyone else has finished and there was a situation where if we both get a point, we both stay up. It wouldnt be right.

I can imagine that happening, and no prize for guessing which Spanish manager would be the first to complain but the EFL could give anyone who complains the opportunity to delay their last game - as we've seen with the Derby game its easy to reschedule a game at short notice with no crowds.

It's set in stone last day of the season in each league all sides kick off same day/time can't be any other way.

Can't see why the Coventry game can't be rearranged for the 30th of this month. Both sides will have had the same length of break for the international break.

Yes , I wouldn't support a game that was played when everyone else had finished the season.

I am a little surprised ourselves and Coventry haven't been able to agree a fixture in the break . I guess this might be problematic for the league too. Its possible a club could protest...

Coventry will have to squeeze the game in too...
