Ian - love the way Victor (will never be a keeper) sprinted the entire length of the field to join in the celebrations!
Viktor was incredibly good. His early save from Hutchinson was stunning. His recovery save in the second half was stunning. His save for their goal was incredibly brave. Never been a keeper!
Couldn't see why Smith got sent off. Their equalizer looked offside.
Agree on both gwru - Ref took easy way - saw Smudge use his head, which OK, is technically a Red, but VAR would have seen the elbow and probably suggested both a yellow.
looked offside, but camera angle hard to confirm, even on EFL show.
Strangely, I think Smudge deserved a rest, and that fantastic goal from Freddie will boost his confidence, just when we need him...
From what I saw smith had his head down and raised it quickly in a way that he is trying to catch the pig with the top of his head, I can see why he was sent off but we should appeal, the fact the ref gave a foul against Smith a few mins before for having his shirt ripped meant it was clear the ref was going to favour the pigs perhaps he likes some bacon in the morning and was hoping for some samples. How can a club with strikers bought not far short of £30m be so bad, hasn't rhodes gone for over £10m at least twice in his career.
smiler for you. It felt like winning goal was it 2002 Richie Barker I was there when Freddie swerved winner in tonight. Johansson he's got the shirt, did all that was expected of him tonight. All back 4 did their job. Rest of the side also. Wholehearted team performance. Warney he got it right. Ihiekwe back next game. Me I'd stick to 4 at the back it's our natural game. Put a strong side out at Brentford who aren't as good as they was last season.
I was also at that game my last away game. Worked hard tonight raving on Quest about Freddie's goal can not see the sending off being overturned we won not bothered what the ref did. Three match ban soon passes these days hope that win gives us that bit of confidence to start picking some points up.
Almost but not quite, Gwru. 'Hes got the shirt and did all that was expected of him' is incredibly churlish of you. He came for crosses and dealt with them. He pulled off two or three excellent saves. He was incredibly brave and unfortunate with their goal. He comes and tidies up well outside the area. He is a good talker. He is a bit of a character with it. I know it is difficult for you after you binned him off after one appearance, but surely you have to be a bigger man than that and give some credit where it is due? I thought your mind could be changed with performances?

Brilliant performance and i have said before when certain players put the performance in that hey can and should i will be first to shout.
Cant wait to get to work. Surrounded by owls.who were giving it out and will be around 10 quid richer and will enjoy collecting the tenner from the loudest who kept talking about a bounce only bounce he will see is.me bouncing to kfc at dinner and have then have pleasure of smelling his hasty words lol
Hahahahhahah
Seroious note
I agree the sane owls and a few blades messaged me about the red. The red was a joke and we should appeal.
All the players flught for what is a 6 pointer and makes birmi ngham ane coventry nervous those are the next two matches that 6 pointers
I can't stop watching that goal. The determination of Crooks to attack instead of try and win a free kick or blast it anywhere. The fact that with ten men our instinct was to break quickly and flood men forwards. The overlapping run by Wing (on loan remember) who you would have thought was dead on his feet but managed to cover 100 yards in fifteen seconds in the 97th minute, and the absolute peach of a strike from Freddie. Then to see what it means to every single one of them. It was a brilliant strike, but the goal was all about spirit, desire and determination. Wednesday have got several players on £30K a week but they havent got our heart and soul. I've said it before and I will say it again - this bunch couldnt be doing any more for us than they are. Fantastic.

smiler it went our way they missed their chances. Still think Flo isn't strong enough. But a great win. Try to pick some pts before international break then we should have some bodies back. That winning goal will have meant alot to the players after 5 defeats. UTM
As usual a great summary by smiler of the effort that went in last night. Some people on here were saying Warne has to pick a side to keep him in his job, spirits are flagging in the dressing room and Warne hasn't got the bit between his teeth. If we get six straight losses it should be the end of the manager, etc, etc.
Now i thought the best we could hope for was to keep it tight and try and nick something. Here is the reason i said that. We had only six subs on the bench last night. One a goalkeeper and one McDonald, who it clearly looks like he is struggling to play many minutes. So that leaves a devastated squad. We were missing, Ogbene ,Wood, Ihiekwe, Robertson, Lindsay and mattock. As Smiler says, you have to work hard as a management team to get desire, spirit, teamwork, determination and a togetherness that runs through our players. Imo very few of our players would get into many teams above us in the league but we are still competitive in most games . I think the management team should be applauded for that when you look at the tools/money they have to work with.
I attacked Hillsbrough Miller and i was wrong to do so. I just wish posters would look at the word supporter and see what it is all about. I have said for long enough now that the people managing RUFC are doing everything they can and deserve our support and backing through thick and thin. I am a silly old man but i think i have lived long enough to know when people are doing everything they can for the cause. In Warne and his management team i am certain there are no better people for the job of managing my beloved football club.

That is a bit mealy mouthed, Gwru. They did miss some chances. So did we. Their goal looked a bit offside and even then they needed a freakish ricochet. We scored two excellent goals. We hit the post. We won it with a scratch defence, and after going down to ten men after a shocking red card decision. Heads would have dropped in many teams after all that and the unlucky own goal, but not ours.
I do not remember a single game that we have won under Warne when you have actually said that we played well and deserved the win without trying to detract from it in some way (we were lucky, the other team never turned up, the division is poor, the other team missed their chances etc etc).
Yet again a lot of your daft comments (never been a keeper, Freddie will never get you anything, no fight in a Warney team, he has given up by picking Flo) come back to make you look stupid, and yet again you carry on as if none of it ever happened.
I've moved on from finding it annoying. I have come to think of you as a bit of a comedian.
Well said Whiston! Smiler - like you I've watched the Twitter footage of the goal endless times and it doesn't get any less enjoyable, particularly with the Rotherham commentary! Wing's run and desire to provide a passing option for Freddie was nothing short of astounding. If Warne can get that effort out of a loanee, he must be an outstanding motivator!
Getting a bit giddy again great win for us move on to the next match. smiler I see you never took my offer up from last week with you being off this site for a week improved it by 1,000%.

Gwru gets exposed a bit, and TH chimes in with a nice little diversion. Like night follows day!
I'm comfortable being a fairly ordinary, reasonably intelligent, rational individual with ethics and values who understands what it is to support a football club and doesn't feel the need to be disruptive and obnoxious. You continue to be you - whatever that is.
After the excitement of last night, below is what I thought.
We got back to doing basics properly again, decent quality and thought on crosses/shots and finally some deserved luck.
Thought Wing controlled it, say what you want about Wednesday but Bannan is still a very good midfielder at this level so Wing did brilliantly to upstage and win the battle.
Tough one Saturday, which I think we need to take something from. The game's labelled as free hits are gone now and its about picking points up wherever we can.
