Sorry you got the brunt of it Hillsbrough. Sometimes us warney boys have to bare our teeth, especially as i am reading Brecks book and he says we are lucky to have Paul Warne. My sentiments entirely.

Couldn't see why Smith got sent off. Their equalizer looked offside.

Sorry to say it but that decision to send Smith off has completely changed the game. They had just about gone. I think it is the single most disgraceful decision I have seen on the last ten years or so. Shocking. Fuming.

that was amazing what a full on guttsy performance, so pleased for freddie he really needed that every player gave everything, Wing was brilliant but can we please get of Crooks back what he did for that second goal was absolutely brilliant, the ref tried to give them the game second half, Smith was rightly sent off he should be ashamed of himself, but their player had to go too, he elbowed smith.
Big shout out to Wiles as well, never stopped chased everything and MacDonald was a man mountain at the back. We deserved that win we dominated the game before the sending off, we have a chance now but we need 6 more results like that

I'd appeal against Smith's sending off. Dogged performance tonight. Harding & A McDonald solid at the back all did well. Classy goal by Freddie. Gives us hope we can stay up.

Absolutely stunning. After being on the receiving end of last minute (11th minute of injury time) winners for the Owls, this was better than anything you could imagine.

Wing's part in the first goal was sublime and Crooks contribution to the second was amazing. I really hope that goal will give Freddie the confidence he needs because he's going to get lots of minutes in the next 3 games.

Whoever you are, please feel free to celebrate this wonderful result, a team full of balls and a manager who is a credit to this club.

Unless I missed something, after literally having his shirt pulled off his back the worst Smith did was nudge his head into the Wednesday guys midriff with minimal force as he stood up. If that is a red card the game has gone mad.

The usual faint praise from Gwru after what will surely go down as one of our most famous wins. Everything was stacked against us tonight but with sheer will and a bit of quality here and there we still got the win.

Incredible.

Great contribution from Flo. He got some good crosses in including for the goal.

To quote my mate:-

Johansson - never been a keeper. Ladapo - never going to get you anything. And there is no fight in a Warney team.

Tell me different.

Just had a look on the Owls site Smiler (as you do) and quite a few say that the sending off was an embarrassment. Sky commentators bigged it up suggesting it was Zidane-like - absolute garbage. There isn't a camera angle that suggests anything other than Smith's head contacting Bon...'s chest as he was standing up - admittedly he was furious because Bon... had elbowed him in the face when he was on the deck.

Similarly, the commentators never, for one moment, questioned if Penny was offside for their goal - he looked a yard off to me.

Don't expect any praise from your mate. He's probably kicking the sh.t out of his Owls teddy bear!

Ian - love the way Victor (will never be a keeper) sprinted the entire length of the field to join in the celebrations!
