The Viking is improving with every game.  He made one odd decision to do a double-fisted punch when he wasn't under a lot of pressure, but aside from that he was immaculate yesterday.  He is brave, his kicking and distribution are good, he is a good communicator, he is agile and he seems to have good hands. He collected a couple of shots that were well hit and bounced awkwardly in front of him and he did it without a hint of a fumble There is still a bit of work to be done with him.  He is not nearly the finished article, but there is far more good than bad about him and he has the makings of a very good goalkeeper.  He will make the occasional error as all keepers do, but at this stage I would say he has started his career with us well.  I can see him becoming a fan favourite as well - he seems to be a bit of a character.

Last night did nothing wrong it's just everytime opposition swing a ball in a crowded penalty area we've got to rely on defence to clear it. Camp was the same. I like characters so he scores with me on that. I actually liked it when he punched ball away in the 2nd half under pressure from one of their players. Better than not being sure catching it.

He is definitely decent and has the characteristics to make it at this level and some.

I think he punched due to the swirling atmospheric conditions; he's a British hard Rock fan.

Quite sure this is a wind-up so I'll bite! His decision to punch last night will give him nightmares. It was far simpler to catch it as he wasn't under pressure. His punch was poor and could have been costly. However, this was his only mistake.

There was one threatening ball into the area last night which our defence got nowhere near but Viktor punched it brilliantly just avoiding Sturridge who was stood directly behind him, unmarked, ready to put the ball in the net.

I'll give you the chance to establish some Millers' Cred by admitting that Johannson is a Championship standard keeper and well worthy of his status as our No.1 goalkeeper?

I am loving Viktor to bits.

Did anyone else notice that in injury time at Bristol he made a save from a corner. The ball was cleared and offside was given anyway. That was the moment the win was absolutely guaranteed. The joy on his face was a pleasure to see as he did a big high five with Angus McDonald.

The save he made from Wells with ten minutes to go was crucial, and his handling, kicking and communication throughout the game were top class. I don't think the importance of the communication bit can be overestimated. He gives certainty and confidence to our defenders and keeps them alert.

I am not suggesting that Johansson is the finished article by a long way. He will make a few mistakes here and there (he should have done better with the Swansea opener), but they seem to be few and far between. In his last two appearances at Hillsborough and Ashton Gate he has been immaculate. He clearly loves the game and the opportunity he has with us, and is clearly very popular with the rest of the group. If we had fans at the ground, he would I think see that he has become a fans favourite already.

Long may it continue.

Your right about Johannson Smiler - he's got great potential and shows the signs of developing into a fabulous keeper who is our player! I'd say his influence on the game through communication, encouragement and attitude is worth about 60% of his performance. The pure goalkeeping bit, whilst important, is less important to the overall team performance. You just have to see how much better the back four operate when he is between the sticks rather than Blackman. I'm not condemning Blackman, just suggesting Viktor is better for the team.

When Chieo is fit and back, and when crowds are back in NYS, it's going to be interesting to see which one is going to become the darling of the kop!

You make a crucial point Glenn - he is our player, not a loanee. We have had a string of loan players in goal recently. No offence to any of them, but it is good to have a competent young keeper who is hungry to establish himself and who is our own player.

Goalies of his potential come to clubs like ours very rarely in the modern era.

I'd argue that we should take the small risk and offer him a 4 year contract. Without a recognised keeper it's hard , but with one it makes a huge difference.

It's still an under appreciated role...nothing better than welcoming your keeper to the net each game.
