Mostly good for us. Birmingham will have fancied getting something at home to Luton and lost. Coventry well beaten at Cardiff. Brum and Cov are the two plus Wycombe I fancy most to finish below us. Wycombe winning at Huddersfield really drags Huddersfield into it and they are in freefall. Only the Derby win was a downer. The table looks better for us tonight than it did this morning.
We have Bournemouth, Norwich, Forest and Reading during February. If we can keep within touching distance of Coventry and Huddersfield by the end of Feb, I think we'll be fine. I watched some of Forest v AFC today and neither side looked half the quality that we have at Rotherham. We have a great opportunity to not only survive, but to reach mid table by the season's end.
I think we have a good chance but we have to stop letting points slip in the last 5 minutes of games, Cardiff at home, Blackburn away, Birm away, Huddersfield at home, Norwich at home that is 9 points there. We need to work at how to use subs in the last 10 mins to close games out, I still think the use of subs is not a strength of the management team. We have a chance and that isn't bad at this stage.

Lots of goals are scored late in games in part because of tiredness leading to lack of concentration, in part because teams take risks to make things happen, and in part because of nerves/tension leading to mistakes. We have also won some points late in games, for example our winners at Wycombe and at Derby, and all three of our goals at home to Derby arrived quite late.
Having said that I don't disagree with what you say. It is likely to be a very close run thing, and a couple of points won or dropped late in games might make all the difference. Hopefully the confidence that we have gained by going on a good run lately will stand us in good stead.
We are always going to be vulnerable with those two keepers we've played so far this season. Definitely won't change my mind about them. Also we can fill the bench up but who we got we can bring on that doesn't weaken the side? Crooks & Smith had better keep fit cause they are our goal threat. Ladapo only one we can bring on but he's not been taking the chances he gets.

I think Ladapo has done alright this season. Five goals is not a bad return considering his limited opportunities, and at times he has worked very hard as a lone striker. He scores a goal every 253 minutes played versus a goal every 250 minutes from Smith. I am not saying he gets in ahead of Smith at the moment, but he is a good option in my opinion and again you have completely overlooked the need to have options given the schedule. I think Ladapo's link up play has actually improved this season. His first time lay-off to put Wing in at Preston in the move that led to the Wiles goal was a step forward. Whatever else, Ladapo is always likely to contribute the occasional goal.
I notice you don't mention Hirst at all. According to you before we signed him and based on a nine minute TV viewing he was the missing piece in the jigsaw - the player who would fire us to safety. Is he another you have 'changed your mind' about?
I think you have made your feelings about the keepers clear at least once more than was necessary. Your statement 'definitely won't change my mind about them' is typically ridiculous. Enough said.

smiler said I definitely won't change my mind about two keepers we've seen for us this season. Could take us down from what we've seen up to now this season.
When we get to the end of the season and the post mortem is carried out if we have gone down the finger will invariably point at the forward lines lack of goals gwrus obsession with our goalkeepers I do actually agree with him regarding Blackman but the games we have won with Johannson in the net is at least equal (4 each I think stand to be corrected) so considering Blackman has played most of the games I think the slating of Johannson is unjustified moreover his gushing about Hirst you could argue is a waste of a squad place and it would have been perhaps worth investing in Gnanduillet or a n other especially when you throw in the Vassell situation too
You said the same about Crooks and Ihiekwe. Tell it how i see it, I'm my own man, no-one will change my mind. Then we have the 'performances change my mind' gambit. Call it your get out clause if you like. Your arrogance and insistence that you can never be wrong because you 'go to home games, mean all' is, quite frankly, ludicrous and your refusal to answer the question do you know better than Paul Warne does you no favours. I remember your post that you are a better manager than Paul Warne and that you are a better keeper than Rodak when he was here. I think that there is only one person on the planet that would make such a claim, who has never played professionally, and that is you.
