The last time we had two wins together in the championship was under Warnock in 2016. We actually won three matches on the trot before that beating Brentford on 27th Feb, beating Wednesday on 5th March then beating Boro on 8th March. .....But the last time we put two wins together was the same season under Warnock beating Ipswich on 19 March then beating Leeds on April 2nd. I think what i have put is correct.
We don’t need to win every game, we’re not aiming for promotion. We just need to win some. If Swansea are at their best they will probably beat us. We’ll pick points up against teams who think they just need to turn up and aren’t up for a battle.
I note Smiler’s comments about the home games against fellow strugglers. I dont look forward to those games as we’ve already seen forest qpr and cov raise their game against us. They’ll target the match as much as we do and might match our energy.
I think our best chances may come against the mid table sides who's season is fizzling out and they just stroll around picking up their 20 grand a week.
Regardless, let’s not jump on everyone’s back next time we lose, because we will.
You're right DKNY. We will win some games like yesterday where we start second favourites and lose some that some will bill as 'six pointers'. There are some people who are quick to wade in and turn the volume up when we lose and are very quiet when we win. They seem to expect a win every time we play, so a win is treated like nothing to get excited about and anything less than a win is treated like a disaster. They know and we know who they are. It's totally unrealistic of course but you will never change them.
