Warnock's teams are always difficult to beat. Their form seems a bit patchy but they are nicely positioned just outside the playoff places. It won't be an easy game (there is no such thing this season) but personally I view these games as ones where it is almost a free hit - we aren't expected to get anything but are more than capable of coming away with something. We have played well in recent games and shouldn't fear anybody. We should be relatively fresh after an 8 day gap. They played at the weekend.
I can't see us making many changes from the Stoke lineup. Maybe Giles in for a debut as a left wing-back. It will be interesting to see what Warne does with Wes Harding if Giles plays. Harding has been very good. I might be tempted to play him instead of Angus as one of the back three, which is probably a very natural position for him.
They have Tavernier out, possibly Fry. I'd start with Giles on the left. Rest of the side won't be many changes. I'm not fussed with either of our keepers but I don't pick the side. Hoping Robbo is getting match sharp. Watched them Sunday, not the Bora side of old. We can get something out of the game I feel.

I was feeling more confident before I saw side selected. Can't do anything if Barlaser is out, heard it said he's isolating. But to me you sink or swim with side you start with. Giles whose been playing deemed not up to starting. S Mac whose been out a while is but I can see why no other midfield available. But Harding for Giles I don't get.
We are away so Harding more a defender I'll go with that it's just it puts doubts about Giles who wasn't getting in the Coventry side before he was called back by Wolves. 1st half we've had 3 half decent chances, Crooks took the last chance well. Bora haven't created a chance that I could see 1st half.
that was outstanding performance the boro commentators stating we were easily the better side. I would like to state that I have been saying 3 at the back and wing backs would work better for us, so a big smile as we look solid with that formation. Hirst did well when he came on so di Giles a great goal and I have to admit Smith was outstanding it is amazing what a few goals does for a player. Every player was excellent and credit to the management team they really do have us playing, those games against Derby and Forest are so crucial now
3-0 didn't flatter us at all. Classic away performance. Confidence is a massive thing and we have got plenty of it at the moment and they were brilliant to a man. Harding was outstanding but so.were many others. I don't think we saw enough of Giles to judge him but he is obviously quick, athletic, very left footed and looks promising. Fantastic stuff.

Can you finally concede that Paul Warne knows so much more than you!? Shaun MacD was essential to our midfield and played remarkably well before he understandably tired. Barlaser was obviously out for a reason - but behold, we did do something without him! Giles was given a chance at the end when all were tired and he took it - good on him.
The moral of the story is, and I say this in all sincerity, trust in RUFC management - if they mess up, give em hell, but don't make a prat of yourself by pre-empting the outcome with so little knowledge of the facts!
'We deserved that. Can't fault any of them tonight. Move on though Swansea next'. Point of order Gwru - I seriously doubt you'd be moving on quite so quickly if we'd lost 3-0.
I know what you mean Glenn. That was a day out! I was fortunate to be working in a London at the time so was at QPR when we won there in the last minute two seasons ago which was a magnificent feeling aswell. The thing is we have started creating chances in open play and whatever that elusive quality is that makes a side look a proper side, we seem to have it. Hard work and confidence go a long way, and we have actually got some good players too. Long way to go though. I was on cloud nine at QPR that day but we still fell just short. We have a bunch of people busting their gut for us and you can't ask for more than that. Hope you and yours are well.
