Our right side when Ogbene is back is as good as any in this league.
Unfortunately they're made to look look bad ie bad end product cos no matter what pair are the false 9 and 10 are not goalscorers, have no instinct for it and have no clue about getitng in front of a man, gambling, recognising triggers to react before something happens and assuming an outcome.
If its a high press you want to create chances from, forcing mistakes then we absolutely have the players for that and we do it well.
We must spend a lot of training time of possession, Warney isn't daft, last time we were in the Champ it was pathetic 20% possession stats weren't uncommon. These are L1 ability players, how much time to we have to devote to get them to keep possession to same levels as Champ players? Let's be honest the improvement in this area is massive and credit to the coaching team. That along with our 'amazing' set pieces what is left to work on chance conversion cos it seems very little. This leads to the final question, if we are spending a lot of time working on possession then what is the point of this if players can't instinctively make the right movement, the right body shape, the right shot selection? It's not like we aren't creating chances is it? Because we are, and goals change games, we wouldn't have lost easy 6 to my count games if we could finish simple chances at the right point in games when we're on top.
Would be surprised if there is a problem T.H. Light rain from noon with temperatures rising to 6 degrees by kick off according to B.B.C. weather. Getting 3 points might be harder.
Don't like side starting tonight. Johansson in goal? Robertson looks like at left back? Olosunde & Harding both on the right? No Giles? You can't just pick a side to keep players happy. Side you start with goes a long way to determine the result.
Ridiculous post Gwru. Harding would have been at left wing back. Robertson replaced Angus as one of the centre backs. For the hundredth time, just because he doesnt pick the same team you would doesnt mean he is trying to keep people happy. Very obviously he will pick the side he thinks gives us the best chance to win. Anyway, the pitch is under water and it's off.
smiler that was a shocking starting 11 just playing happy families again. Wood & Robertson in the same side. 4 midfielders no Giles. Johansson too short for a keeper. Best game was called off.
Ok Gwru. You know best. You've no idea who was fit, who wasnt etc etc. Last time you were this damning about a team selection we won 2-0 at Ipswich. But you know best.
I hate myself for biting as you don't really deserve to be acknowledged by any right thinking human being.
Blackman is the Number one keeper, Johansson the number two, and Vickers the number three. Warne has said this is the case, doesn't matter if you agree or not, that's how it is. With that in mind gwru, If the number one gets injured why on earth would you be surprised that the number two gets picked?
It's ok to play a right footed Angus MacDonald on the left of a back three, but you have a problem with a left footed Clark Robertson playing on the left of a back three. Why?
Four midfielders? You mean three with Crooks supporting Smith, as he has done to good effect in recent games. He's basically playing the exact formation that he did in the last game, and the game before, and the game before that...
In your own warped mind you've concluded that we've lost that game even though it hasn't been played, and you'll bring it up time and time again as a defeat, even though it hasn't even happened.
Johansson
Olosunde Icky Wood Robertson
Harding Lindsay Barlaser Wiles
Crooks
Smith
How I read it though Harding at Right back & Olosunde further forward on the right makes more sense. I can't have Johansson in goal. Under pressure with crosses coming in he can't deal with them. Robertson looks like he's left back. He's only an emergency in that position. Wiles wide left. Giles on bench when he was impressive on the left when he came on Saturday. Tell me different.

Tell me different? Your arrogance is astounding for a bloke who really has nothing to be arrogant about.
I'll tell you you different, I'll tell you that you're insane. That team is written out in the formation we've played the last few games. Just because you've assumed it will be different doesn't mean it will be. Why would he completely change a formation that is working well?

It doesn't matter if you 'can't have' Johansson in goal, because thankfully your opinion is meaningless when it comes to picking the team. Personally I thought Johansson looked more commanding on crosses than Blackman, but like you, I'm not the manager.

So Harding at left wing back again when it's not worked. Giles came on Saturday, Breck was impressed with him who played on the left. I don't understand. How is Wing going to get in the side?
