What is wrong with going to friendlies mickey mouse cup games and hopefully seeing a few young players that might come through. That is the main reason I go to those games wish we had 4 or 5 ready to come through. We have done it in the past really enjoyed my football when that happened.
Looking on the whole at home in the championship? Right back & midfield yes. Rest Centre backs if all fit not far off yes. Forwards with one addition same. Keepers, left back & fit wide players no.
He honestly thinks he has a knack for talent spotting. There isnt anything wrong with supporting the development of younger players. There is nothing better than seeing a good young player come up through the ranks. What is weird is pretending that after ten minutes watching somebody, or in Gwru's case sometimes even without seeing them kick a ball, you can immediately judge whether a player has 'got it' or not. That is just deluded.
What annoys me was the first half tactics warne played against Barnsley . Playing flo in a formation that hasn't worked before.
Why not stick to 3 5 2 formation which players were used to.
We need new blood in the ranks but will there any
History says no
If it were that simple Hillsborough. New blood is ok, might freshen up things for a while, but we mostly have new players from the last time we were in this league, but I'm seeing a re-run of the season before last. Regular last minute defeats, regular penalties conceded, regular queues at the sick bay, players working out of position, a great deal of effort and promise shown for little return, etc etc ad nausium.
It's not a criticism, but a disappointed observation, particularly when we were told, as with the last time we were here, that the club was 'better prepared this time' but thus far it's a repeat of the 2018/19 season.
uttis it's just an alternative to Warney's boys. To me you've got to have it to start with but some players need a certain kind of coaching or management to get it out of them. Fringe players now are surplus. Add Vassell Flo Miller to that list. Blackman also. Johansson I see only as the no. 2 keeper, let's see what Vickers can do at Everton.
