Efl Covid testing protocol what a farce

Hands up those like me who thought we and other clubs were testing players on a regular basis, I assumed weekly. In the Premier league players are tested twice a week. But under the efl protocol it is left to the clubs to decide, due to the cost. So why have we seen a number of positive tests across different efl clubs in the last few days? Well the FA cup next round is coming up so FA protocols apply and clubs have had to test, hence all the positive results and games off. As I said in the title "what a farce" Feel free to comment TTR rules apply

I thought they were all getting tested weekly too. I've just been reading the comments from Paul Lambert about the situation at Ipswich, it's ridiculous that they've had so few tests.

Back in October, the PFA undertook to fund testing for all EFL clubs for the rest of the season. I've not seen anything to suggest that this arrangement has been withdrawn, so goodness knows what is happening?

Glenn my understanding was the same, heard the interview with the Ipswich medic on talksport and also then heard Simon Jordan talk about it the next day with the Portsmouth Chief exec. Seems the EFL proposal never got implemented and the clubs are in effect doing their own thing. My personal opinion is that we need z circuit breaker now whilst this is resolved and sorted, it is a shambles.
