You can be pretty confident the season will be delayed or even scrapped. Thanks to our lily livered PM and his Sage advisors (many of whom aren't even scientists) the country is running scared.
Nobody detests this PM and government more than me Splinter. But running scared !!. With 71,554,018 cases and 1,613,671 deaths worldwide, including 67,616 deaths in the UK then i think we have to take it very seriously.
I hope I'm wrong but I reckon there's something not right at RUFC around this.
1st of all, as posted on the QPR thread, the EFL statement was different to the ones at other clubs, suggesting WE were under some sort of investigation, or at fault, instead of it being routine Covid protocol.
..and the fact it is too quiet on the Official site on this, and other clubs have already announced cancellations, even where their own Covid issues were discovered AFTER ours..
Surely our Boxing Day game should have been called off by now..?
I hope I'm wrong but worried we are gunna get some sort of punishment for not doing it properly, it would be just like us ...
"Rotherham have had another positive Covid-19 test in their squad, but the Boxing Day game with Middlesbrough will go ahead as things stand.
Following a second positive test in their squad, Rotherham have done another round of testing on their first-team squad on Tuesday and are awaiting results from that round of testing before making a final decision on their Boxing Day clash with Boro at the Riverside.
The Millers had to cancel their scheduled clash with Derby County at the weekend after one player tested positive and other players began showing symptoms.
A round of testing has revealed one more positive result in Paul Warne's squad, with testing then taking place on Tuesday.
Rotherham are awaiting the results from those tests before making the decision over the festive fixtures, with results expected to be back on Wednesday."
Why RUFC or our own local press had said nothing is strange? As the thread says WTF Millers....
whiston I would agree if those numbers are true, but they are not.
the pcr test is flawed the inventor himself stated before his death that it should never be used for diagnostic tests for viruses, the WHO have now confirmed what independent media and scientists have been saying for 9 months that testing cycles over 35 make it pointless, over 90% false results, most of our labs in the west have tested at 40 or higher.
A medical case is not defined by a test alone (even if it is a usable test), there are other elements such as a person actually being ill and showing multiple symptoms over a period of time, in the UK we only ask for one symptom.
Second the CDC stated in July that only 6% of all recorded deaths in the USA were caused by Covid-19 the others were other causes but they believed that the person had covid at the time. This is a crucial factor having an illness at the time of death is not necessarily the cause of death. In the UK the Covid legislation forced new guidelines in the UK that means that we no longer follow protocols for the correct cause of death on certificates. There is a virus but even the WHO (and they are the most corrupt organisation you can find) state that Covid survival is at 99.7 % across all ages and if under 40 YO significantly more than that.
Add to all this the fact the UN estimate over an extra 150 million people have been put at severe risk of starvation due to the worlds reaction to the pandemic and the latest estimate that same reaction could lead to 1.6 Billion people put into poverty and starvation over the next few years
Covid-19 is no worse than a bad influenza outbreak, there have been at least 2 of those this century. The whole thing is about fear and making you all scared to be human, why god knows but you should be more worried about the why than any so called virus.
In the west we have turned our elderly care homes into death camps, isolating the old and ill from their families and friends, the awful care of these people brings shame on us all, and SAGE and the government are complicit in the early deaths of thousands, that is all parties in parliament not just the tories.
My last point that you may want to research yourself (not via the BBC please), Simon Dolans case was lost in the appeal court, the judge stated there that the 1984 Public health Act allows the government to do anything it wants, if they declare a public health crisis, this is equivalent of the enablement Act used in the 1930's in germany, you do not live in a democracy, you now live in a totalitarian technocracy, and that should really scare you.
All of the above is available across many sources, and there is a lot more out there, some of it a little extreme but a lot of it very interesting read and factually correct and i advise you all to do your own research, question everything.
Derby, i have no idea if those numbers are correct, i was just quoting what i have read. Your input makes for very interesting reading as well. You say covid 19 is no worse than a bad influenza outbreak. Well the Spanish flu in 1918 allegedly infected around 500 million people with the number of deaths estimated to be between 20-50million people. Worldwide that was more than all soldiers and civilians killed in the first world war combined. It lasted 2 years with it been at its severest in the autumn of 1918. Historians believe that the fatal severity of the Spanish flu was caused by a mutated virus, spread by wartime movement of troops. Again i quote from what i have read.
I can also quote from a nurse who has worked on the front line since March. In all her thirty years of nursing she has never seen anything like it. She has spent days away from her family for fear of passing the virus on and in April she caught it and self isolated away from them. On the few occasions i have spoken to her she has told me not to take this virus lightly because it can be a killer and it is a horrible death. I will do everything i can to stay safe and i advise everybody to do the same.
Th Miller, you might well be correct re. a circuit breaker as there seems a few clubs who are getting players and representatives infected.
The internet is awash with that sort of conspiracy theory stuff. Here is a different view. You saw situations in Italy and Spain where doctors were having to decide who to try and save and who to leave in the car parks and allow to die, and that was while they tried to stem the spread with lockdown and travel bans or it would have been even worse in places like Lombardy and Catalonia. We weren't far away from that here. If we had not taken drastic action the health system would have collapsed and the consequences would have been catastrophic. To compare this virus to everyday flu is ridiculous and dangerous. Without lockdown and restrictions hundreds of thousands would have died here. If it was allowed to run its course, the existing mortality rate would have been much, much worse because hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions would have had no access to treatment from a health system that would have found itself beyond broken. The idea that dark forces are at work and that this nightmare has somehow been stage managed instinctively appeals to a section of society that wants to buy into it, but it doesnt actalually stand scrutiny and it makes no sense at all in the final analysis. Of course the problem with those kind of theories is that some people will hang on to them unless you can disprove them, which can never be done because they rely on a faith in mysterious and secretive goings on. We have certainly mismanaged aspects of our response to this virus, but it posed and still poses a very real threat to the fabric of society. Our mistake has been a repeated failure to close down quickly and comprehensively enough and to relax restrictions too soon, which has resulted in worse tragedy and more costly lockdown in the long run. I have posted this in the interests of balance. Happy Christmas to you Derby and everyone on here. I mean that.
If there is a circuit breaker I want Warney to put my lotto on! We got automatic promotion when back then we had a weakened side & now it would give us chance to get at least Robbo & S Mac back. If this manager can move players not good enough on & strengthen were needed especially left back & up front. Recall Kayode at least.
It's hard to understand what the club is doing around our Covid issues - I'm still worried we have done something we'll get points deductions for. Other clubs don't seem to have a problem saying what's going on...
Derby complained, I can't blame Barnsley doing the same if we've not told them anything...
The lack of communication is simply not good enough!!!
When we were at the DV I had an issue there I met Paul Douglas about it. I wasn't impressed seemed indecisive too me. Not sure if he's got anything to do with this situation though.
