I think the manager's belligerence is what I find most annoying & his comment that Crooks was outstanding on Tuesday was the straw that broke the camel's back regarding my support for him, along with his continual support for one of the worst Goalkeepers I've seen in a Millers shirt (& I remember Barry Watling). Trevor Clarke must have done something very wrong to not feature in Warne's plans & in answer to people's "lightweight" comments we've hardly seen him play so how can anyone make their mind up about him. THE most talented player in the squad Ben Wiles is having his career damaged by the manager playing him in numerous positions often in the same game. Love the fella but it's time to go, the whole football management team at the club are out of their depth & that is being exposed on a twice weekly basis.
Theres nothing more to say. As I've said before, we will only see one man's selection tested tomorrow. We will never ever know whether the outcome would have better or worse with a different line up. Not in this universe. If we lose, everyone will think it would have been better if only the manager had picked the side they wanted him to pick. Thats the way it is. Although its obviously nonsense, that is what makes it a great game to follow. It is all about opinions. Sadly, Gwru lives in a different universe in his world his opinion is actually fact. He actually really believes he knows best and nobody can tell him otherwise Not even when the evidence is put under his nose. Hey ho.

Don't want this to sound like I'm being antagonistic Brad, because I'm genuinely not, I'm just interested to know your thoughts on it. Who would you replace him with who we could a) realistically afford and would be willing to come? b) could do a better job with basically the same set of players plus a few additions in January on our budget? and then c) would they be able to repeat the trick again next season?
And if he can't repeat the trick, do you stick with him, or do we go back to square one again?

The sad part about our current plight is that the "good human beings" that was such a huge part of the recruitment process are throwing PW, RB, MH & Scott under the bus at the moment. Certain players get starts regardless of form while certain other players are frozen out, the players IMO are overworked in training, complacency with the "give em a cuddle" & protect the players at all times from criticism makes for a happy but misguided dressing room.
I truly believe the squad posesses the skill & guile to survive in this season's 2nd tier but what this squad needs is discipline, tactical nous & the organisational ability to get the best out of our squad & Paul Cook fits the bill on all counts. Experienced, out of work, I truly believe he would come here.
Warne & his staff IMO (& we all have em so respect on all sides) IMO have reached the point of no return & do you want to be a fan of the only club in English Football history to suffer THREE relegations with the same manager? Sticking with PW would be just accepting the enevitable.
I know he goes down on record as being in charge for the first relegation and I get why people throw that at him but in my opinion that is wholly unfair. That ship had sunk long before he was placed in charge. He was only caretaker manager so had no real authority and wasn't actually confirmed as manager until relegation had been confirmed, but that's by the by.
The second relegation (or first in my opinion) was fine by me, we put up as good a fight as we could and very nearly survived. Our budget should have seen us bottom, but we weren't. It was by no means a disaster of season in my opinion.
At the start of the season, most fans were saying 'as long as we stay up that'll do me', fourth from bottom is staying up. Fourth from bottom also means a LOT of defeats. People have to accept that even if we stay up we'll lose a hell of a lot more than we win. Expecting any more than that simply isn't realistic.
A lot of people say they're overworked in training, I've never watched them train so I can't give my opinion on that. A lot of people who say they're overworked have never watched them train either so what it's based on I don't know. What do you base it on?
As for the opinions on what happens in the dressing room, again none of us have any idea what goes on in there. What is said in the press and what is said behind closed doors could be (and probably is) very different. Most managers defend their players in public, the minute he throws a player under the bus, he's lost him.
Two weeks ago everyone thought the Bournemouth performance was great, nobody was too gutted against Brentford, we just got beaten by a better side. Two awful performances later (and they were awful) and it's the end of the world. I personally think it'd be insane to throw away three years of the culture and ethos that Warne has built up a the club because of a bad week. I fear that if we were to get rid of him now there is more chance of us being in the lower reaches of League One (or worse, League Two) in 5 years time than if we were to stick with him.
I don't want Warne to go, but if that decision was made, I wouldn't be against Paul Cook. However he is somebody with a track record of jumping ship at a better offer so if he kept us up he'd probably be gone somewhere else.
All about opinions mate, I disagree with yours but respect it. Incidentally I'd be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong & I'd be the first to publicly post as much
"one of the worst Goalkeepers I've seen in a Millers shirt". Which of the 15 goals scored against us in the last eight games have been Blackman's fault? He was culpable for the penalty he gave away v Bournemouth and the poor punch out that led to Swansea's winner. Can't think of any others but I can think of several major gaffs by our defence. Only scoring 7 goals in those eight games has been far more damaging than our goalkeeper's mistakes.
Can anyone remember think they called him Chris Ogden keeper for us. One of the worst we had I went to Chesterfield he let 3 in then at Hillsborough he let 5 in.

That's fair enough Brad, I totally get the frustrations you have at the minute, The last two games were infuriating to watch at times. It's obvious you want us to do well rather be able to say 'I told you so' like some people.
Flapping at crosses, **** poor distribution, some of the defensive mistakes are borne out of a mistrust of the GK. Started with the massive **** up at Salford. Every penalty we concede (& there've been a few) he has a nice little lie down, nowhere near any of them.
Blackman hasn't impressed me either to be honest, he hasn't really been directly at fault for goals but I don't think he's anywhere near commanding enough for a bloke of his size, I worry whenever the ball goes near him. I think he has got better as the seasons gone on though. Ironically I think that probably his best two performances have come in the last two games, probably our worst two performances of the season.
Nice to see the Brothers W trying to distract us again with completely irrelevant posts. To say gwru 'doesn't run away from anyone' he's done a good job of running away from the questions he's been asked on this thread.
Where talking keepers weren't we? These two we've seen this season I don't trust. Got me thinking other keepers for us abit dodgy. Chris Ogden springs to mind.

What about the questions Smiler asked you earlier in the thread that you've just pretended didn't happen?
What about the question that I've asked you that you repeatedly refuse to answer?
