How come it say on my laptop it says please log in and write a short reply. With some of you on this site I am scared of my battery running out on my phone.
Personally I rarely bother looking at the managers post match comments. What they say in public and what they say and think in private are likely to be a long way apart. As a rule you dont criticise players in public, but that doesnt mean they arent told home truths behind closed doors. Equally even when you dont play great you can try and instill confidence by publicly picking out some positives. I think there are labels that are given that can stick and feel like truth if they are seen and heard often enough. I think it's a myth that Warne doesnt like dropping players and that he plays his favourites or avoids confrontation. He has dropped almost everyone from time to time, including Mattock when Purrington first arrived. He has sent players like Ihiekwe out on loan but brought them back into the fold. We famously had four wingers who all chose to leave because they weren't starting regularly enough. We all know they were all inconsistent. They were picked or left out on merit. He gave JCH - often given as an example of a 'difficult to manage' player - a one year contract extension when he could have moved him on. I hear things about some of our current players that suggests some of them are not the easiest to manage, but they are managed. My info is that Dom Ball and Warne got on well but he didnt really want to be here and for whatever reason he didnt play well when selected. All on all, I think the good human being stuff is blown out of all proportion. As I pointed out to THMiller and Gwru, although they wont recognise it, Steve Evan's was talking about 'bad apples' in 2012 and repeats it wherever he goes. The idea that Warne only works with Saints and never raises his voice is a it of a fantasy. I dont think there is any real evidence to suggest that his approach is much different to many others.
All good points smiler
But to me some players get a far better rub of the green than others
In case of the 4 wingers they were never in the side.long enough to get consistent
Newell and willow is a good example
Crookes and.mattock get far more.game time despite their performance
Clarke is another example why didnt he start with clark and use jones as a sub
I dont want warne sacked never wish that on anyone.
But something is verywrong somewhere .yes watford are a ex prem team.but that doesnt ezcuse the performance.v coventry
Nodoubts injuries have affected us. But why
Warne overtraining them ?
Im my opinion fresh ideas are needed
whiston01 derby articulate? beg to differ. I'm not repeating what he said which I assume mods removed on here. Horseracing I'm not an anorak like you. The enjoyment of that for me is the day out me against the bookies. Anyone read my last post on this thread & tell me what I've said isn't where Roth U are at now.

'Villa' do not leave because of the brothers Grimm's ignorance. Make them as long as you want as long as you get the points over as you have done so well in the past. Perhaps if they actually read them and took them in they might improve what they contribute to this site. We really do need good posters to stay. Only if they do can we get it to where it should be.

Is Warne really overtraining them? Because his background is that he was our fitness coach the overtraining thing gets bandied around, but there is no evidence at all to support it. The injuries we have at the moment are contact injuries sustained in tackles in the case of Sadlier and nasty landings from aerial challenges in the case of MacDonald and Mattock. Ogbene twisted a knee turning. These are not muscular injuries caused by training. Just things that can happen to any footballer. The overtraining, run round cones stuff is (with the greatest respect) something that gets lazily thrown around, just like the green tea and good human beings nonsense, by supporters who are all too ready to get on his back. I don't mind legitimate criticism, but these lazy criticisms get my goat to be honest. No offence meant to you personally Hillsborough.
Smiler I read your post on over training with interest I have heard directly last season from someone who is no longer involved that he left as he believes that Warnes training methods lead to an increased injury risk. Now I am no medical expert and he may have an axe to grind so you form your own opinion. The one fact is that over the last few years we have had more than our share of injuries.
What is clear from last night was that Warne was very deflated in the post match presser have a look at Benjamin Bloom's match report on you tube and watch Warne answering questions after the game he was not himself. He looked like a man defeated who has had enough, if TS wants to keep him he needs to get him some help and support fast. I would shuffle the coaching team shake things up. We need to do something.
Finally I have decided to post again, lets make this site to go to site for Millers fans and please mods get rid of the terrible twins
No you don't. You slag off the manager and selected players every day in a boring repetetive manner. Get behind the players and the manager. It's what true fans do.
A couple of personal questions. How old are you and have you ever travelled?
Thanks for the post HensonsPRMan. Good stuff. I can't comment on the report from the ex player you mention. I have some connection to what happens on the training ground and I have seen and heard things that suggest the contrary. But I dont profess to be the only or even a reliable source. We do seem to have had very few soft tissue issues so far in a season when most teams have suffered a few of them. The long term injuries we have picked up are all freakish contact injuries. That was really my point. Good to have you posting. The more decent posters the merrier.
As already pointed out if we were over training we’d be having a lot of soft tissue injuries I think we’ve just been unfortunate.
The main worry for me is how confidence has completely drained in such a short space of time, was it that fragile to start with? Bar the last two games and the QPR game we’ve competed and probably been a bit unlucky not to have a few more points so what on earth has happened?
