The gruesome twosome don't think that it's important if anyone can understand their abuse of the English language or not. All that appears to matter is that they understand their version of the language I may post in French, German, Italian or Spanish from now on. There is more chance of other board users understanding what I'm saying.
Back to football. All that matters is if we have players good enough to stop in the championship. If teams good enough as long as players aren't breaking the law supporters won't bother about much else. It's up to the manager to be strong enough to control players. Evans v Warney. Side Evans kept us up with in 2015 not including loan players his signings Arnason Broadfoot Frecks Morgan Ward Derbyshire JCH don't think you'd argue would walk into our present side.
As usual Gwru, whether by accident or by design, you have completely missed the point.

Forget it.
Actually don't forget it. You shouldn't be allowed to get away with spouting *******s all the time without being challenged.
Who would you pick tomorrow who you haven't previously written off as not good enough?
How are Phil Parkinson and Graham Coughlan getting on?
Where are Bailey-King, Akeem Hinds and Julien Lamy starring at the moment?
Do you think that our former players Robins and Warnock were decent managers? If so why did you say that having ex players as manager never works?
I will get back to football I can just about remember being on match of the day against Watford. I can't remember the score it was freezing weather used straw to get the match on Trevor Phillips might have scored a goal not much but it was a long time ago it could be a different game.
Can't remember what I said but if you aren't up to the manager's job doesn't matter if your ex players or not. Of course Robin's & Warnock did the business for us. I won't write Lamy off till he gets a chance.
All I know is what I saw with Lamy. Sooner have him here than Flo or Miller who you can blow over! 3-5-2 I always said it wouldn't work with us but with us having no fit wingers good enough it was worth a try. It hasn't worked since the Bournemouth game so think we've seen the last of that.
Again you ignore what it suits you to ignore and just re-hash the same old bull. Loads of managers have looked at Lamy. Only one has given him a professional contract and played him in a competitive professional football match. Who was it? It's a simple question. Were you right or wrong about Parkinson, who you said was going to be a roaring success at Sunderland? And the one you never answered: yes or no, do you think you know more than Paul Warne about football?
As much as 3-5-2 worked very well against Bournemouth and Brentford first half I don't think we have the team to play it long term, the squad was never built with that formation in mind in my opinion.
Be nice to bust a few bets and get a win that no one is expecting, not really had that type of result at this level since Warnock was the manager.
Warney says he's going to play battlers. That's ok if they are good enough. Wood he's a battler but he's past his sell by date. Mattock he's slowed down. If he starts with Flo or Miller manager he's gone against his word, both not strong enough. Recruitment last three windows that's put us in the position we are now lacking enough players up to this level.

This is a massive loss for us. Although i believe Mattock is not as good as he was, he is easily the best left back at the club. Yes, he has lost some pace and yes he sometimes lacks positional sense, but he also provides some very good crosses and assists. He has provided good assists this season and the other best option for left back, Robertson, is also injured. I would play Jones tonight because he can defend, but i am afraid the crosses from an overlapping left back are now gone if we play Jones. The injury list is getting longer and our chances of survival are now that bit harder i am afraid.
Deeney says his team will refuse to play if there is any hint of booing when they take the knee tonight. If we stay on the pitch when Watford go off we might get three points by default !!!

I think I would give Clarke a go at left back, particularly if we are playing three at the back. If he is going to break through for us now is his chance, and that is probably his best position.
I can't agree with you on that Smiler. For us to get anything tonight i think it will be from strong defending and trying to nick it from a set piece. I agree with Warne that Clarke's strong suit is not defending. I would go 4.5.1
I understand that approach. My thinking is that we need to carry some attacking threat. Now that we know Mattock is out I would go 352 with Blackman: Harding, Ihiekwe, Wood; Olosunde, Lindsay, Barlaser, Wiles, Clarke: Vassell, Smith. Vassell is a controversial one but I still think he has done as well as anyone else up there. Ladapo and Smith on Saturday played like they have never met before. I wouldnt be averse to your selection/formation either. I would play Wood because we need someone who can handle Deeney and his physicality. Being up against a physical target man is exactly his game. Horses for courses.
Wood, Jones are past their sell by date. Clarke is like Flo & Miller not strong enough. Don't trust either of the keepers we've seen this season. As I've already said 4-5-1 Vickers; Harding Ihiekwe A McDonald Wiles; Olosunde Lindsay Barlaser Crooks Vassell; Smith
