ANOTHER own goal... terrible today.

Getting a bit nervy now, all other teams around us winning or drawing (apart from Forrest earlier)... something needs to change soon or we'll be in the Poo....

Whoever is manager has to work with our wage structure, we need a kick up the arse not a cuddle. Not saying sack Warne but someone has to play bad cop with this lot, far too comfortable with their places some of em

smith scores !!!!! in his own goal another set piece, two goals from set pieces we are second to every ball there is nothing positive from this, not a single shot on target until the penalty. 3 out of the 4 strikers are not even league 1 standard, I agree with Brad I haven't seen Hirst do anything at all since he came.
I think the board know that we are going down so they won't waste money on players in the transfer window and won't remove Warne & Barker because it will cost too much and they know that they should at least keep us in league 1 next year and maybe into the play-offs. Shows how good Vaulks and Ajayi were for us last time we do not have any players in their class in this squad.

If PW tries to defend THAT performance I'm done, that was inexcuseable

Absolute garbage all around the field!

Congratulations to Coventry and Mark Robins on a very professional performance. They made us look like a Sunday league side!

Shambles.

Wiles played central mid, right mid, left wingback and left wing.

Harding played right wingback, centre back and left back.

WHY!

If Clarke is notgood enough let him go.

Headless chicken in the second half.

They defended properly and we didnt. They had a bit more of a threat than we did and won more second balls. Barlaser improved us but still we created nothing in open play. Worryingly we looked short of confidence and made simple things look difficult. We try to improve but have ended up back where we have been in other seasons - long ball to Michael Smith who is as honest as the day is long but is limited at this level. Lots of work to do but no rest for the wicked - straight into a game at Watford.

Awful result and performance, nobody comes out of that with any credit. We looked clueless in every department.

Congratulations to gwru and iwru, I know how much you both love a Millers defeat so it'll be a good weekend for you two.

I expect the usual massive overreaction that now comes after any defeat and I fear this forum will be more obnoxious than usual after that particular performance. I can think of many better ways to spend my weekend so I'll leave you to it.

On this GWRU i agree,

he never seems to have a plan B and \im sorry but he does seem to favour certain players despite their poor performance
why didnt he start clarke and barlaser.

every manager will always use those he know he can depend onto get the job done
crooks
vassell
blackman
are not those players

smith is good enough for league 1 vassell wasnt prolific in league one for us either

why did he play woody at the back when we all know woody at his age cant play two matches in a row.

Bring tilt back from wigan or is he another player warne cant coach because of his attitude etc etc

Type of performance that gets a manager the sack that.

Confidence looks shot to bits, everything we did was half hearted and an obvious lack of effort and quality.

Making the same mistakes again as we have done in previous years, is PW job under threat?

Love Warnie to bits, eat, lives & sleeps RUFC but with the current management in charge, we are toast in this league. On the other hand is that such a bad thing? Personally I hate this division with a passion. Every promotion is tainted with "here we go again" for the season after. I thought we were lightweight at the start of the season & because of the long term injuries we look even weaker. I may be shouted down for this but I crave for RUFC to have ONE season of L1 mid table mediocrity as in every L1 promotion we have come up woefully unprepared & under recruited. For example Tom Adeyemi was (& still is I think) a free agent & when he was here looked one of our only Championship standard players, an improvement on the disapointing Crooks but they know best.
The last two games (Brentford & Coventry) have been woeful & the fight & commitment we are renouned for has been missing. If there's something wrong in the dressing room it simply cannot be allowed to continue.

Better team and a manager who knows what he is doing. Got to admit Blackman was descent without him who knows what the score would have been. Good human beings don't win football games keep your motor running warney how long can this go on.

And while TH MILLER & gwru are furiously masturbating I'll weigh in with George Hirst is a waste of a squad place.

I sympathise with your view Brad but I did feel that we started this season like a team who believed they could stay up. I was expecting us to build on a promising start but we appear to be going backwards. Losing Ogbene was a major blow, particularly as we managed to get Barlaser in - that partnership would have been great to watch at this level.

We've not been lucky with injuries and we've been instrumental in our own downfall by making stupid mistakes in games we could well have taken points from.

PW is now at a critical period of his reign. This squad of players has the ability to perform at a much higher level than today and it is his job to set the team up, decide the tactics and engender the confidence that will allow a better standard of performance. It's not going to be easy with games coming thick and fast and none of them easy.  However, Mark Robins gave a masterclass in management today - he'd done his homework perfectly and ensured that we never had a moment to settle.

Anyone close to Thurcroft tonight - pop round to gwru/th's house - there's a party going down!!

Blackman is usually descent just before the opposition strike a penalty! However, he was pretty decent today!

Everyone had an opinion and everyone is a supporter of our team. No real fan takes joy in us losing. What we all are. Fans with a passion for a football club it .the name the badge what we want is the team to play for that badge and have a manager who gets the best out of his players. Each manager has their own style. But im sorry but warne style doesnt work at this level. We need prima donna footballers but warne doesnt So over to you tony
