Choose our battles

Bottom 8 is our league, points from anyone else home or away is a bonus. Beat the teams around us we wont be far away.

We did really well 1st half, we couldn't keep that up for 90 mins no way. Warney is a great ambassador for the club, his hands are greatly tied but I do bemoan he has no plan B. They did, changed it up at half time and we had no way of changing. One of our subs let his team, Warney and us fans down badly, to call those 2 yellows schoolboy error would be unfair on the intelligence of schoolboys.

Our lack of firepower is concerning. Smudge, Hirst, Lacrappo, Vassell average L1 and way off the mark for this league, no goal scoring midfielder, Frecks has never been replaced. Love Wiles and Lindsay industriuous workrate, they're a nightmare, but they need someone cute in front of them, Crooks isn't cute.

Blackman scares me. His 1 on 1 was down to his own hesitancy. His agility is awful, granted he's massive but Begovic showed hime what agility was on Saturday. I've also never seen a GK give a pen away from tripping on an attackers achillies - total joke.

It's fine Warney saying we're coming out on the wrong end of fine margins atm, but consistently why are we? - concentration - simple as - and we have a problem throughout the squad with it - and is the reason why we let in so many late end of half goals.

Last comment. Have we really got nobody better than Mattock for set pieces?

Warney said in yesterday's tizer he'd leave if he didn't think he could keep us up well the clocks ticking. No more bringing players on not good enough like Flo, Miller & Vassell. Not bothered what smiler says other sides bring young players through we loan them out. Cooper & Kayode bring them back in January.

Gwru couldnt be more wrong. I think it is right that in the England side that played recently all but one of the starting eleven had made their professional debut on loan in the lower leagues. Kane went to Orient. Grealish went to Notts County. Ross Barkley at Wednesday. Tammy Abraham with Bristol City in League One. Calvert -Lewin went to Stalybridge Celtic. Kyle Walker at Northampton Town. Etc etc. Some of the top clubs might play kids like Foden or Curtis Jones in cup games for a season or two to get them the experience, but it is the exception rather than the rule these days for players to make a seamless transition from youth team to first team at higher division clubs. That is why the likes of Chelsea and Man City have dozens out on loan at any one time. Sending them to lower league clubs to learn how to compete in men's football and see whether they can handle it is very, very common. If our management team thought these kids were ready and could add to us, they would bring them back and play them. Why on earth wouldnt they if it would help us? Except in the crazed mind of our resident conspiracy theorist.

When our manager first took over and got the new training facilities made a big point in the need to bring young players through what happened?. I know there is Wiles hope Cooper and Kayode can do it would be great to see that happen.

Can anyone give me a single half sensible suggestion as to why our manager and coaching team wouldn't want someone like Josh Kayode to break into our first team and be a total success?

Have a go at it though gwru. If Kayode and Cooper would improve the team we would have more chance to win which would help everyone including Warne and Barker. So what possible reason is there for Warne and Barker to loan them out? Could it possibly be that those young players arent ready for Championship football yet, and that going out on loan is the best thing for them at this time? Do you acknowledge that that is the most likely explanation?

Its what is best for each individual. Some players will benefit from loans. Some wont need it. The idea though that our manager will cut off his own nose to spite his face just doesnt make any sense. Warne wants and needs us to win as many games as we can and will pick the players he thinks will achieve that. Each supporter may agree or disagree with his judgment, but the idea that he will pick his mates or is afraid to upset players by leaving them out etc is groundless bullsh1t.
