100% pass completion success aka perfection. My daughter (who as Glenn knows is the founding member of the Kyle Vassell fan club) reckons he could do a job at right wing back now we play sophisticated continental style football. Brilliant.

Sounds like you have our future Manager there with you...
Now I've seen EFL show, their Pen was dodgy, but that's nothing new.. contact yes, Pen, no.
I dont think it was a penalty. You can usually get a clue when the player 'fouled' is looking at the referee appealingly before he hits the deck. Very, very soft. Blackman had no business giving the ref a decision to make though and he got away with one a few minutes earlier. He has got to be more aware and make better decisions. We cant afford to go into games with a keeper we dont trust.
Mention again for Wes Harding. He has been superb so far this season - a great signing. He looked a natural in that position right of three centre backs. That system did seem to suit the players we have. Mattock did well as the left of three as well. He is good enough in the air. The system suited Olosunde on the right a d also Clarke when he came on. Smith and Ladapo gave us a constant threat. Crooks was more involved. All good stuff.
Sure Warney is listening to me! Said we had no fit wingers good enough so he switches to wing backs. You have got to be special to be one of my boys like Vaulks before him Lindsay he's coming good now. Who knows what Lamy could have brought to the side! Want to see quality of Barlaser back in the side either for Wiles or Crooks. Clarke can play left wing back so Mattock can cover for Icky. Mattock best he's played since last time in the championship. Brentford bring it on!
Gwru, some learned people down the road at Sheffield Hallam University (Maltby Day at al) published a fascinating paper that looked at the conceptualisation of trolls on social media platforms such as message boards and its effects. It recognises that there are accidental as well as deliberate trolls. It identifies five traits commonly associated with trolls: attention/conflict seeking, low self-esteem/self-confidence, malice, lack of education and a need for amusement (generated by lack of fulfillment). You could do worse than read it to begin to understand who you are and why you do what you do. You pretend to care about RUFC, but my guess would be that you come on here and do what you do to fill some void in your life. Honestly, there are better and healthier ways to deal with that than trolling on a message board.
smiler the word troll means nothing to me. It's for overgrown schoolboys. They are just my views I post. You've got to admit when a player becomes one of my boys he's got to have someone like Vaulks & Lindsay. I'm expecting same from Cooper & Kayode.

What is it about your personality that desperately needs to be proved right? You make so many calls/predictions in hope that some will materialize so that you can shout about how informed you are. The trouble for you is that you're so often wrong, people consider you to be a fool. You do yourself no favours!
Try a bit of humility like other poster's on this site. We all get things right but we also make bad calls. That's the nature of football - thank goodness.
He knows what he is doing Glenn. He has seen what people think about his Lamy posts. We have a good performance and some really good posts about the game, and he weighs in with a 'look at me' post and another Lamy comment just to get a reaction. He either craves the attention or enjoys annoying people. He is either stupid or clever and manipulative. Either way, its desperate.
Very grateful for the excellent comments and good posts about the game. I was rough as a dog yesterday and missed the game so the posts helped me understand what went on. I hope tricky Trevor proves me wrong and he can hold down that left sided wing back position. I still believe he is not up to this class and needs time away to develop. Warne finds it hard to pick him in the left back position as he doubts his ability to defend. Glenn is correct, we all get things wrong and i would estimate i have got more wrong than most. Opinions are what makes sites thrive. However, you have to put your hand up when you get it wrong. Come on Trevor prove me wrong. My hand is half up.
whiston01 Trev did nothing wrong when he came on, left wing back looks to suit him better than playing left back. I know you aren't a Lindsay fan but yesterday was his best game playing for us. He did all the dirty work & had two especially 1st half header good attempts at their goal. Mattock outstanding & 2 1st half crosses one resulting in our 1st goal class. Apart from keeper couldn't fault any of our outfield players.
Hope you are on the mend Whiston. Clarke came on for about twenty minutes. Olosunde cramped up which meant a reshuffle was needed. Harding moved seamlessly to right wing back, Mattock moved inside to be one of the three centre backs, and Clarke replaced Mattock as left wing back. It strikes me that if Clarke has a best position that might be it. He doesnt convince me as an out and out winger or an out and out full back, but might have the versatility to do well as a wing back. The same might be true of Olosunde on the other side Both Mattock and Harding can do a job either side of the back three if asked. It all looked and felt like round pegs in round holes. If you get chance to watch it on replay on iplayer you should - it was entertaining stuff. Look after yourself.
3-5-2 worked really well in Yesterdays game, I suggested it not long after Ogbene got injured but the idea was immediately rubbished by gwru because according to him we had 'no wing backs good enough'. Now the deluded fool is trying to pass it off as his idea and saying Warney must be listening to him. It takes a special kind of arrogance and delusion to believe that but George obviously has both of those things in spades. I hope for his own sake that he is a troll as if he's genuine then god help him. He's also convinced himself that only he ever thought that Lindsay was any good. I think we all said he looked a good player when he signed but then he was out of the team with a combination of personal issues and injury and then when he was ready to come back in we were winning every week so couldn't get back in. He's back in this season and grabbed his chance and now looks like the player we all thought/hoped he would be and long may it continue. He was one of many who were superb yesterday, I just hope it didn't take too much out of them for Tuesday.
Don't blow that trumpet too hard HM - it can have an awful habit of coming back and biting you on the 'arris.
One interesting point from yesterday, apart from the enforced replacement of Olosunde, Warney didn't make an elective substitution until 88 minutes (Vassell for Lapado) and that was it. He must have been confident the onfield players could do the job and he obviously wasn't too concerned about saving legs for the Brentford match.
One less than interesting point - the BBC list Olosunde as an 'assist' for Freddie's second goal. I suspect Lapado might take issue with that!
Warney stated in the tizer a few weeks ago he was a fan of 442 but he was sticking to 4411. If he can change his mind surely us mere mortals can injuries suspensions change things. I did calling for Olosunde to be used as we all saw yesterday a genuine championship player. I have had the view from the first time I saw him knew he was going to be descent.
Today gwru says he is sure Warney is listening to him by switching to 352. Less than two weeks ago Gwru said (word for word): 'Anybody wanting Roth U to play with wing backs look at England who've got the pick of English players but it doesn't work'. Genius.
By the way Warne has been talking about the possibility of playing 352 for years and expressed admiration for how the Blades made it work for them. Indeed, we used the system a couple of seasons ago (forget who against) but abandoned it because the opposition kept switching the ball quickly and we got hammered. We played well yesterday but it might not work every week against every opponent. The main thing is that we know it can work so it's an option for us.
