Last word on this. I've seen him ability no question he's got that. It's just Warney's pettiness he'd sooner get loan players in wingers that ended up sitting on the bench. Look at the squad now same no wide players fit good enough.

Speaking of loan wingers ending up on the bench isn't that what happened to Lamy down at Wimbledon?

I suppose that was down to the Wimbledon managers pettiness.

Didn't Lamy also have a trial at Doncaster Rovers?

Petty of Darren Moore not to give him a contract.

At least Warne gave him a chance, a chance that he wasn't good enough to take.

Why not just admit that you are wrong and give realmiller a proper answer.

I haven't been proved wrong yet. See when/if he gets a chance. All I know is Warney's recruitment last two windows apart from Harding A McDonald Barlaser & give a chance to Sadlier to get fit it's lacking. Lamy never got a chance here when lesser players did. Fact.

Not a fact at all, just an opinion.

Why won't you answer the question? I'll ask ANOTHER way, Which manager in professional football has given Lamy more of a chance than Paul Warne.

The blindingly obvious flaw in your argument that you will wait to see what Lamy can do when he has been given a chance, and what several people have repeatedly pointed out to you Gwru, is that LAMY HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN SEVERAL CHANCES AND SEVERAL MANAGERS HAVE NOT RATED HIM. I have put that in caps for you not because I am virtually shouting at you, but so that you dont miss it again. As several people have also pointed out to you, WARNE GAVE HIM MORE OF A CHANCE THAN ANYONE ELSE HAS. Please also bear in mind that clubs have extensive scouting networks, and he will have been looked at by scouts representing many clubs when he became available. They obviously didnt fancy him either. Let it go.

Right Lamy came on for us in January at the NYS before he was loaned out. Everybody round me liked what they saw. I asked the question why as he been loaned out to someone I know who knows what's going on there. He said I don't know why he's gone but he won't be coming back. Since then we've had Adelakun Koroma Flo Miller supposedly wingers none of them good enough. As I said it's Warney's pettiness but that's coming back now to the cost of the team cause recruitment it's not good enough. Yes Warney gave Lamy a years contract but didn't give him a chance. I know what I saw a talent we can't afford to throw away cause without Ogbene we haven't got it. If that's not clear enough for you don't know what is.

About 15 minutes in one league game not much I thought he looked decent plus the crowd were warming to him. The other games did ok as for finding another club very difficult with the situation at the moment.

Gwru, when you say "everybody round me liked what they saw", is 'everybody' just your brother Ian?

Also, from what I can gather from your post, it seems to be pretty clear that you're saying that you know more about football and are better at spotting talent than Paul Warne? Is that right?

I think I saw Lamy five times.

Once at Parkgate when he pulled up with a hamstring injury after 15 minutes. (When other players do that Gwru brands them 'sick note', but Lamy gets a free pass on it).

I saw him at home in a league game when he came on for 7 minutes. It was against Bristol Rovers.  That must be the game when 'everybody around Gwru liked what they saw'.  It was 7 minutes wuth the game already put to bed, which is a nice time to come on. He didn't do anything wrong but only had about three kicks, so it was meaningless in terms of judging him.

I saw him at Lincoln on a cold night in the Mickey Mouse Cup. He was awful, looked like he wasn't even half interested and was totally out of his depth against a decent Lincoln side.

I saw him in a home game against Donny in the same Cup. He looked good, but that needs qualifying by the fact (and it is a fact) that it was essentially a reserve team game. Both sides played as many reserve team players and kids as they were allowed to. I think Jake Cooper and Akeem Hinds also played for us, for example., and Donny fielded a much weakened team too.

I saw him for 8 minutes as a sub at Peterborough, where he put one half decent cross in but gave the ball away very cheaply on a number of occasions and got brushed off the ball like the full back was taking candy from a baby.

On the basis of those five appearances, we had a young man who clearly had a bit of ability when given time on the ball, but against half decent opposition he looked a long way short of first team standard. During his time at Wimbledon the story appeared similar, in that he started one game (I think) and failed to impress, being a fixture as a largely unused sub in a bottom half league one side.

That is what I have to go on. It isn't much, but it is more than Gwru and his magic eye have. Our management team, Wimbledon's management team, Darren Moore at Doncaster, somebody at West Brom and a few other judges who know more than I do saw him day in and day out in training and behind closed door games and it is obvious what they thought.

He isn't here any more, and he can't het a game anywhere else. The idea that we are somehow missing in the Championship a player who can't get a game in League One is absurd. And it is academic anyway.

Can we move on now?

It was also Darren Moore at West Brom smiler. Moore gave him a trial at a Championship club, then was willing to give him a trial at a level below just over a year later after he'd got a bit of experience in professional football. He didn't think he was good enough to sign either time. How petty of him.

Whoever you are you are definitely entitled to your view, but can we at least agree that it is pointless and annoying when that view about a former player gets dragged out and repeated on every single thread?
