Echo knee jerk reaction. I just say how I see it. Saturday saw improvement in certain players & Olosunde who I couldn't work out why he wasn't involved looked well up to this level.

I thought Olosunde did well. According to you gwru he wasnt good enough for League One when we got him. You obviously think he has come on in leaps and bounds, as have many other younger players like Wiles, Ogbene and Barlaser. Are you prepared to give the management and coaching staff due credit for their part in that player development?

Just had a quick look back to July 2019, didn't take very long as there aren't that many threads on here, and saw a few quotes from gwru after Matt Olosunde played his first friendly at New York

"Still haven't got a Right back. Olsunde couldn't tackle or get forward." and "I would never sign players who have no experience of 1st team football in whatever level of the EFL or competitive league football. Olsunde it's like starting from basics. He can't tackle at all, going forward he's no idea."

Smiler then calls him out for writing off a player so quickly to which he replies "smiler it's no point trying to change my mind."

Then we get this from TH Miller "Don't listen to gwru same every season always a player he wants to pull down give him 6 months that's what the training facilities are for to bring players through."  (TH has changed his tune hasn't he?)

and then the final word from gwru "You won't change my mind."

And he wonders why we don't take him seriously.

(The spelling errors are obviously his, I've just copied and pasted)

I wonder what will come next. Will it be gwru denying the obvious or ignoring reality, or will it be THMiller with a diversionary post? Or both?

For a first start Olosunde was very good but I’m not surprised as he hardly put a foot wrong last season and was/is very underrated.

We deserved to win and the changes helped with us being a lot fresher than PNE who went unchanged. Worry our strikers are still missing sitters, how Ladapo missed that chance from another quality ball from Wiles I don’t know.

Hopefully that goal Crooks scored wakes him up a bit and kick starts his season as when he’s on form he’s a key player for us.

And there it is!!!

Come on Gwru and THMiller - will you give Warney and his team some credit for working with these players and helping to improve them?

Can you manage that?

Look on the first page I was the only person on this site wanting woody back in the team and how Olosunde has been underused baffles me. I don't waste my time working systems out up to the manager easy to work out when the players take to the pitch. Good result in my honest opinion best result so far this season a note of caution only one game.

You've completely failed to address the point. After one game gwru said that Olosunde was useless in League One and was a waste of time. Now he is saying he looks good in The Championship. Was gwru wrong in the first place? Or has Olosunde improved? It has to be one or the other. If it's the latter, will gwru give any credit to the management team for working with Olosunde and helping him improve, as they have with other young players like Ogbene, Barlaser and Wiles?
