Looks like 4.4.2 to me which he said on Friday he wouldn't play. Wiles wide right and Sadlier wide left with Ladapo and Vassell up front is how i see it. One of the sites i look at say its going to be 4.3.3. On Wood Gwru you can count the times he has let us down on one finger.
That was a much better performance, heads didnt drop when they scored and that is very important. Crooks who hadnt played well with the winner, if he can lift his game 20% would make a huge difference to us. Woody was immense we do look a lot better when he plays. Warne made the changes and we got the result so credit to him, the keeper played really well. Looking at the table 3 points today was so important for us.
This game can make fools out of all of us, myself included. i really didn't think we would get much today. Derby, earlier said, we will get tonked on Saturday by a very good Preston side. Gwru said, how many times are we going to wheel Wood out. Hillsborough accused Warne of playing his favourites, and if that doesn't tell Warne that Crooks isn't up to it i don't know what. Well it's all knee jerk stuff and makes us look fools.
What i will say is this. Warne and his team will graft and find ways to keep us competitive, of that there is no doubt. He has a mammoth job to keep us up and i still feel we might fall short. One thing for definite though, days like today are well worth waiting for and celebrating. I still believe we have to get behind the club and appreciate we are in good hands. well done today lads, your effort is greatly appreciated.
TH got it right with Wood. Wasn't best Preston side I've seen. Apart from Vassell changes worked. Keeper can't spell his name apart one dodgy kick did nothing wrong. Olosunde played well. Flo must be getting up to speed was alot better. I was same as Hillsborough was ready to accuse Warney of favouritism then Crooks pops up with the winner! Welcome 3pts
Only one on this site calling for woody to play what a goal star man for me. We played well today got a bit of luck when they hit the post makes a change.
I felt comfortable watching today. If we had a clinical forward, we'd be in the play-off places! But what we lack in talent, we make up for in spirit and hard work. With a bit more fortune and without a Ref who gave everything to them in the first half, we could have walked this one. Every so often, we need to take stock and understand what our aspirations were for this season. Anything above the bottom 3 would be most supporters' desire.
And to those who love to criticise at the first opportunity, give players like Flo Jo and Crookes a chance to establish themselves. With game time and confidence, they could take this team places. And anyone who has the temerity to criticise Richard Wood needs sectioning. If Lapado had his composure in front of goal, we'd be worldbeaters.
There's a healthy gap developing at the bottom and I suspect Coventry, Wycombe and Derby are going to struggle to close it. If we can pick up the odd win and draw, we stand a great chance of being in this division next year when we're hopefully allowed to watch it live!

GWRU, I wonder if you realise that almost every time you say a team didn't turn up, or weren't the best you've seen, it is because the Millers haven't let them play to their best potential. You shoot yourself in the foot, because each team can only play as well as the other team let them. Yes, I accept that sometimes teams contribute to their own downfall, but on most occasions, it is the opposing team who have done their homework and cramped the opposition's style.
The same also applies to our performances, where we are prevented from playing the game we want to. The trick is to be able to switch to plan B or C, but opposing teams will have plans for this too.

TH didn't get it right with Wood, Paul Warne got it right with Wood, after all, his is the only selection that mattered. I personally thought Vassell showed as much (if not more) today than any of the rest of our strikers in recent weeks, but even if he'd scored a Hat Trick today, your ego is too fragile to ever give him any credit. You'll stick to your opinion that he's useless for the rest of his time at the club no matter how he performs. Also, you say so you can't spell the Keepers name? (it's Johansson by the way) When has being able to spell something ever bothered you before?
The new keeper got away with the dodgy kick and also got away with the moment when they hit the post - he half came for the cross and was in no mans land. He had little chance with the goal though, and did a lot right. I also thought Vassell did alright. He was playing in behind Ladapo and found some nice pockets of space. I thought we played quite well and shaded the game overall. Every game we have played in so far apart from the Wednesday game has been very closely contested and it is nice to come out on top in another one of them. The injuries are mounting up which is a concern but we are competing well. The league is very tight and we aren’t out of place in it
