Team tonight v owls

Warne has said we were not at our best. I think that is fair comment but we certainly had too much for the weak and fragile Wednesday. We seemed more up for it than them and were first to most second balls. I also thought we had that bit more cutting edge last night, with better movement and a real threat in Miller who was a constant danger man putting them on the back foot quite a few times. Ihiekwe and Wood won the aerial battle against Paterson and in midfield we just appeared to have more energy and bite especially Lindsay and Wiles.

We got the all important first goal early, but if anything that spurred Wednesday a little bit and they had their best spell in the next 25 minutes. I said in earlier posts that we had to keep Bannan quiet. Well many Wednesday fans believe he is shot and on most of last nights evidence they could be correct. Without Luongo, Brown and Iorfa Wednesday look doomed. With a full first team they still have a chance.

A great night to be a miller. I am old enough to remember the last home league victory against them but it has been too long between drinks. Celebrate it and give them some stick wherever you can. This team will graft and make us proud. It will be a long road to stay up this season but nights like last night you must savour. Proud to be a miller and if you want proud to be a Warney boy.

Couldn't help but laugh when I heard that the Drone issue had been solved. Apparently Boris sent it up there as he suspected that SWFC were about to let in more than 6!
