Big Grounds - help?

Been thinking that clubs like ours could use the bigger clubs grounds for him matches and get all supporters in. If we use NYS we can only get 3 or 4 thousand in but if we could use Bramall Lane we could get 10 thousand in with adequate social distancing. Clearly a lot to sort out but of the bigger clubs want smaller clubs to survive (who need the gate receipts) then this thinking is required. If not a lot will go bust. Thoughts?

You have a good point but how many people people from Rotherham would go.We had a struggle to get fans to go to the Don Valley and that was nearer.

You might get 10k for the first couple of games but I cant see the people of Rotherham keeping that figure up if it went on throughout the season.

Why would we want to go to Bramall Lane to watch RUFC?

The elephant in the room with the NYS, does TS add to the away end seating to maximise the potential of larger championship away followings when the season resumes with fans in the ground.

I say stay as we are for the season ahead, and then if we are still in the championship 21/22 then go for the expansion up to 16k, he doesnt have to do anything major to the ground apart from lift in the the concrete sections for the extra seats to sit on.

UTM and no to Bramall Lane.

It's a response to social distancing at football and COVID19 not general attendance. The rules that are to be implemented will see the NYS allow 3-4k in max. A bigger ground temporarily will allow us all to get in.

No to Bramall lane. I want same level of body/leg room you get at the NYS. Hope if it's limited to 3-4k at the NYS I'm one of them. Got to be fans who've gone to all the games there. I've got all my ticket stubs from all the friendly's, cup games inc' EFL cup played at the NYS. People who wouldn't get their hand in their pockets, your fault.

We have 6.5k season ticket holders so we won't even get them all in. Day ticket stubs won't get a look in.

No-one wants to go there clearly but when NYS can only get 3k in we will need a temporary plan B to get 10k in or we will lose a lot of revenue. This is not a thread about should we play at BL permanently, it's about how the club maintains its income stream from gate receipts and how all of us get to see the game. Obviously post COVID-19 that's at NYS but not for some time. I can't work out if you just don't get the point because you struggle with certain concepts or are just being deliberately awkward.

How can it be a viable income stream when we would have to pay SUFC to play at bramall lane, absolute none starter.

Dont know how getting the crowds in is going to work , but we are not going to be playing at Bramall lane just so we can get everyone in.
