Evan's did a great job for us but at enormous expense. His record shows that whatever club he has been at with financial backing he has got results. Without that backing he has been bang average. He left us when the money ran out. He will always be tainted as an individual of poor character. Warnock did a wonderful job. He was paid a fortune to do it and was allowed to bring in half a dozen proven experienced players. There is no way on Gods Earth that Warne has been or will be allowed to bring any player into our football club on anything like the money that we were paying to the likes of Leon Best, Matt Derbyshire, Lee Camp, Greg Halford, Dexter Blackstock, Jake Forster Caskey and many others. Some of whom were good for us but some definitely not. You THMiller are asking Warne to achieve similar results to his predecessors but with far less by way of resources to play with. He has done relatively well. That isnt to knock Evans or Warnock. It is just being fair to Warne.

Evans was sacked paid his contract out same with the next manger then what did Warnock cost he can't be blamed for that. Remember we had just won a couple of games on the bounce I think we were 4 points above the bottom 3.

-Alan Lee's comment

'Honest, intelligent, caring, humble and eloquent! Take the time to listen to Paul Warne’s address to his players, an example to any manager'

Over to you George.

What an interview !!!
Thanks for the heads up on the tissues.
Shows what you can get out of players by showing respect to players and getting respect back.
Completely different approach to some managers. Long may it continue.

I will try to make it simple so that you might understand I don't follow any manager or players they will come and go. They are extremely well paid for what they do there is no way I am going to get mysty eyed over any of them. With what is happening at the present time I for one am glad we are not playing.

Why do you bang on about your Steve Evans all the time then?

Why do people hate him so much that is what I can't understand with the present manager if our great chairman backs so will I. But I am not doing cartwheels down the street at the mention of his name.

Hate is a strong word but I think some people find it difficult to warm to people with personal histories like Evans has.  I think some people also view him as a bit of a blagger.  The frothing at the mouth on the touchline isnt helpful either.  He got us results but he had a lot of support doing it and (arguably) moved on when he had drained the well.

For realmiller I'll start with Lamy. He had trials with WBA & Forest before Mannings agent recommended him to us. He's 6ft or slightly over 21 next not a kid solidly built. I know what I saw not bothered who it was against or if it was only ELF cup. Kayode came on as well caught the eye. Other players played from the squad didn't show up as well. If we don't extend Lamy's contract it will just confirm what I've said our manager he's not going on ability.

So we are saying Evans & Warnock got more backing from our chairman than Warney to keep us up. But they kept us up so following season we got that money back being still in the championship. Doesn't make business sense to me not backing each manager the same then we are relegated if we don't. Difference with Warney he'll not press TS to speculate to ac***ulate like the two managers who kept us up.

For goodness sake, put a sock in it please. Always banging on about Evans..........How long has he been gone? What has he achieved since ?.................Exactly nothing. If he was THAT good he'd be earning a fortune in the Premiership or at least the Championship, he's nowhere near either and never will be while ever he has a hole in his jacksie.

Evans has gone and if you love him so much please switch your allegiance to Gillingham or where ever he is now and do us all a favour. Move on and support your club, manager and players and stop living in the past.

I support the club as best I can at my age the past is all I have got. Our friends Barnsley went up last season they thought the manager was the best thing since sliced bread he did not last long. According to our chairman, there could be a signing soon do any of the bloodhounds on here know owt.

Armand Gnanduillet about to leave Blackpool on a free transfer.

18 goals in the season just finished including two against us.

Might be worth a look.

He also had a trial at Hull, so that's three clubs that didn't think he was up to championship football yet you want to build the team around him? I take it the managers at those clubs know less than you about football too?

I saw the game he played against Donny and he played really well, I also remember the cross he put in that you bring up all the time, again, it was a great cross, however it was only one game. Trevor Clarke came on in that game and played great and had an even bigger impact on the result than Lamy, making and then scoring a goal. You demanded Clarke be in the starting line up before he'd even signed for us, yet you never mention him now. If by your logic that one good performance against Donny in the EFL trophy is all it takes be first name on the teamsheet then shouldn't Clarke be in team too?

Clarke scored but he's like Tayor lack of height will be his drawback. Lamy he's got the scope to make it to our level at least. Sooner give a contract to a player like him whose got the chance to be worth a tidy sum in the transfer market.

Paul Warne and his coaching staff are doing a Q&A on Youtube tomorrow  https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2020/june/read--coaching-trio-to-join-us-for-live-saturday-night-q--a-session-this-weekend/

Here's an idea gwru, if you're so confident you're right, why don't you ask Warney yourself why he keeps picking his mates instead of Lamy? Maybe you could tell him everything else he's doing wrong and how your way is better? If you're confident in your abilities as a talent spotter then you'd surely jump at the chance to tell him how to do his job better, especially if you're a fan who wants to see the club succeed?

And TH Miller, maybe you could ask him why we're so boring to watch?

But neither of you will because you're both spineless, you'll just keep shouting cr*p into the ether to satisfy your own egos.

7pm tomorrow I'm going to ask the question. Are we taking the option to extend Lamy's contract. Will give my opinion we should.

I'd pay good money to see gwru quiz Warne. I'm sure a few would. It could be a good revenue stream for the club. It could go viral.
