Let's get this right vast majority on here all they want to do is yo yo between League 1 & the championship keeping the Warney boys together. I think progressive not standing still.
I just want to see the club progress to me that means stopping up not concerned who does it. The only thing I look at is their record nothing else see if he has learned his lesson from last time or has his luck run out.

Not bothered about facts, realities, context, strength of competition. Just 'their record'. But not (given your preferred sort of manager) their criminal record, obviously. Nothing constructive to say, and a cheap barb about 'luck' to finish.
I will bet that Sunderland, Ipwsich and a few others wish their managers (Parkinson being one of them - good job Mr Stewart doesn't listen to you two) had Warne's 'luck'.
It is so sad that at a time when we should be getting excited about the challenge ahead you two stooges have nothing positive to say and can't wait to set the manager up to fail.
I would say at least 9 out of 10. We won 18 games and out of them we were dead jammy in around 16 of them. We scored 61 goals and of them only 4 were decent goals, the rest had luck written all over them. That man Warne is so lucky he is clueless. I am going to contact him to see what his lottery numbers are. With the luck he has i am thinking i will be a millionaire this weekend. That last post of yours has got the contempt it deserves Gwru.
smiler out of 10 how lucky was Warney this season to get us promoted. I'd say 8. But I'll take it. Make most out of that luck next season.
We played 35 games. We won as many games as anyone else. We scored more goals than all but one. We finished above some much bigger clubs than us who weren't as good as us. An enormous amount of preparation and hard work went into those 35 games. It wasn't our fault the season ended early. We may or may not have finished second had it played out, but we were better placed than all but Coventry so chances are we might well have done.
To put that all down to luck is not only hugely disrespectful but shows you to be the ignoramus you are. You do not have 1% of the skills or knowledge of the people in charge of our club, who have just acheived something outstanding for us, but you want to put it down to luck and keep trying to get them sacked.
I know you like a wind up, but you are being a proper ****. Give it a rest will you?
whiston01 you know I'm a form man. When this season was suspended with our defence how it was then was suspect to say the least. We needed fit cover good enough in January but we got Tilt who was still injured last time I heard. No left wide player. I'm certain there would have been 3 better sides than us but as I've said I'll take it. Didn't matter how many games we won before season was suspended. We were vulnerable how side we could put on the pitch ended up.
TC boring! I know tactics & know players we have. If your defence is weakened you play Lindsay in midfield just one up front. Warney listens to the players too much, I don't give a * if Ladapo or Vassell have the face on play to your strengths. Should have kept Lamy instead of the two he brought in who hadn't played all season who brought nothing to the side. Lamy on the right, Ogbene on the left take game to the opposition takes pressure off our defence.
I can't understand a word you say nothing new. It just seems very strange to me every ex-manager was poor even when their record was better I don't hate the present manager is he good enough for the championship the jury is out for me.

Nobody has said every ex manager is poor have they?

You are aware that you're moaning about hypothetical tactics used in games that were never even played? That's bizarre even by your standards

My friend Mr Evans gets plenty of flack on here I just enjoyed the games more. When we beat Preston in that playoff best game at NYS. Plus that equalising goal at wembley that was brilliant.

I'd agree that the Preston game was probably the best game at New York, and the goal at wembley was (ambitious but) brilliant.
Nobody has said Evans was poor, I doubt anybody would argue that he had anything but a great record of results at Rotherham. They have argued that his scatter gun approach to signings was probably not the financially viable in the long term and the money could have been better spent. They have also argued that as a person he wasn't the best of adverts for the football club and arguably dragged down the reputation of the club slightly.
But you aren't up for any kind of intelligent or reasoned debate so you'll have missed all that and read into it whatever fits your blinkered narrative.

Wasn't hypothitical regards Lamy. Just looked at the side we had out last game we played at Rochdale it was deperate in defence & questionable regards playing Jones & Olosunde on the bench. Why play an unfit Tilt, thoght Thompson could play centre back. Two wide players Warney brought in for Lamy niether of them started so I take that they weren't good enough so that's proven before season was suspended.

Yes but you're assuming he'd have played that same 11 in all the remaining games and that we'd probably lose them all. You haven't a clue what would've happened in the remaining games, neither have I, neither has anybody and we'll never get to know so it's not worth constantly rambling on about it.
Let the Lamy thing go, you are embarrassing yourself. He's a young kid from french amateur football, he wasn't ready to play week in week out in the football league, if he was he'd have been in the team. What would Warne have to gain by leaving him out if he was as brilliant as you say he is? Wimbledon obviously thought the same. I take the opinion of two professional football managers more seriously on football matters than those of an ex steel worker who can't string a sentence together.
I'm looking forward to the post-Covid 'new normal' when we can have intelligent debate on here without the intervention of imbeciles who say things for the sake of a reaction. Reading this thread, you'd think we'd just been relegated! gwru - I suggest a few more pints down the Double Barrel and leave the reasoned football debate to people who know a thing or two and have a genuine allegiance to our club.
For those who have a positive feeling about our recent elevation, there's going to be some interesting weeks ahead when we see what effect Covid will have on the value of players and the availability of some quality at a reasonable price. I predict that TS is going to reap the reward of running a tight ship and that our club will be one that could well come through this crisis in a robust financial state, allowing us to establish ourselves as a quality Championship side under the guidance of an experienced, intelligent and savvy manager who is going to grow and develop into hot managerial property.
Evans still gets a lot of grief may be not from you ok we had a revolving door policy under him not sure if the club was heavily in debt that came after he went. My recollection we were a few hundred thousand up or down paying the next managers and staff cost us dearly. I could be wrong I am sure that I will be informed by my fellow banteres.
