Back to Roth U. Would you start Hirst this Saturday? There's a case to. We haven't looked much of threat up front in two games so far.

Honestly, I don't know, I've never seen him play so any opinion I have on him is a guess based on no evidence. I'll probably wait until I've seen him play a few times before I make a judgement on him rather than making a quick one and possibly making myself look stupid. I think we looked more dangerous last week towards to the end of the game when Smith and Vassell were on, so I wouldn't be surprised if Warne went with that, but he's the manager so I'll leave it to him.

Now maybe you could answer my question which you ignored earlier? If Hirst has a rubbish first game will you say he was brilliant regardless or will you call for him to be sent back?

Don't rate Vassell. No I won't be calling for Hirst sending back. He's here while January at least. My opinion having seen him come on for Leicester he'll do a job for us.

There are more questions than answers Johnny Nash.

Blackman had one bad game and you wanted him sending back. What's the difference?

Last post on this. Blackman was just a reaction to his performance against Salford. He was much improved at Wycombe. As far as I know players signed on loan are here while January at least.

He is right though gwru. After one game you wanted Blackman sending back to his parent club because he was poor. If Hirst has a stinker first up will you want him sending back or will you continue to champion him based on that 5 minutes you saw last season? Or will you do what any normal person would do and not rush to judgment one way or the other?

So can you at least see that making quick judgements after one game, or in the case of Hirst, an 88th min sub appearance, often makes you look a fool? Wouldn't it be better to watch a player for a few games before coming to a conclusion?

It makes a nice change from previous 2 Championship campaigns that we have choices up front, in midfield and on each wing...

I guess it depends on what Warney has seen in training before Saturday, most likely he'll put him on bench as a challenge to Ladapo/Smith or whoever he starts with knowing they have to start scoring to keep their place...

Looking fwd to Millwall game on ifollow, hopefully I'll only have to pay once this time! ... and due to their morons, this is one game I'm happy to watch without fans..

Did anyone else pay twice for Wycombe game and if so did you get your money back? I've heard nowt...

Robertson he's out. Think it's time to put Wood out to grass. A McDonald in with Cooper on the bench. If Olosunde is fit at least on the bench. Same 2 sitting in midfielder Lindsay & S McDonald. Smith lone forward with Hirst in the no. 10 role behind him. Ladapo he's a goal poacher but we aren't playing that way.

Skipping the awkward questions that you don't have an answer for and ploughing on regardless as usual gwru?

I will have to have to disagree with my amigo Wood will play on Saturday at the moment Tilt and Robertson are as much use as I am at spelling. If Robertson does not get fit his last season for me the magic man will help us get a win this weekend.

Personally I would have thought about Wood playing on Saturday regardless. Millwall are not unlike us. They like to get crosses in and dont mind playing long to a big target man. Woody is still as good as most at handling that.

I agree, if ever there was a championship game made for Richard Wood then Saturday is it.

We got off to a winning start in the championship. 2 seasons ago at this level Wood wasn't thought good enough. He's 2 years older. Not for me. We've got alternatives.

We got a lot more points when Wood was in the team than when he wasn't last time we were in the championship. We also had our best run last season after Wood got back into the team over Christmas.

Let me guess, you'd play Cooper instead?

Still seems fashionable to write Wood off.

We are a lot better defensively and organisation wise when he plays and the stats back it up.

Proves himself start of every season never in the team at the beginning then comes in and takes some shifting he’s the best bet of our centre halves for goals too One of the first names on team sheet for me

Cooper gone out on loan while we still wheel Jones & Wood out! Where's Olosunde & Thompson?
