I don't know how we stand with refunds, although I don't imagine many would be bothered about losing a few quid, what about any refunds are passed onto the Rotherham Hospice charity which are going to struggle in the present climate.
Think about it. Lots of people have been financially hard hit by this crisis. If there is a refund due, some season ticket holders might be very glad of or even desperate for it. The club should issue the refunds. If anyone wants to send it back or pass it straight on to a charity they can, but that should be an individual choice not something that is imposed on people who perhaps can't afford to do so at the moment.
I'm not missing sport one bit. I'm sure football is the furthest from the minds of many. People out walking and/or jogging with their pets has increased greatly. I'm sure many dogs have never been happier. They are losing a lot of puppy fat that they have built up when their owners couldn't be ar5ed to take them out during the Winter months. I'm sure their back gardens will be all the cleaner for it and the kids will be able to play there for a change.
Even the annual ferret racing competition due to take place on my local village green has been cancelled. Someone suggested that the racing could have taken place behind closed doors. Enough said.
PS Charities across the UK will receive a £750 million package of support to ensure they can continue their vital work during the coronavirus outbreak, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced today (Wednesday 8 April 2020).
Can't see why anyone needs a refund and I think the club is already ahead of the game in its community support. Every Saturday night I look at the league table and am pleased to see we remain in a promotion spot - and without all the stress, worry and queueing for a pee at the games. However, it might make sense for financially solvent Millers fans to make a charitable gift of the amount saved by not attending games.
I'm not sure why you cant see why anybody would want a refund. People have paid to see a certain number of games. The club may not now deliver those games. That gives rise to the right to a refund. Some of those people may not be able to afford to turn it down.
I agree with smiler. I don’t have a season ticket but have 2 senior tickets for the Southend game and 2 senior and 1 adult tickets for the Donny game. £75 and £5 booking fee. If the season is declared void I will be wanting my £75 back they can keep the booking fee. After all £75 is nearly half my weekly pension.
If you've bought tickets for games you won't see yes got to be a refund. Regards season tickets if you need the money from a refund for the 5 games outstanding approach the club for it once it's final you won't be seeing those games. I'm not wealthy but I've already said I paid this years season ticket in full bout last May. That money as far as I'm concerned was spent then. I don't want a refund, I don't want a discount for next season's season ticket. I pay for two Millers Mayday tickets every month. I go to every game at the New York stadium involving the 1st team. I'm backing the club best I can. If the club insist on a refund mine can go to the Rotherham Hospice.
Trevor lots people have lost their income overnight through no fault of their own. Some have no money at all but still have mouths to feed. I'm not bothered if they are the loyalist of supporters (and I wouldn't have thought that now was the time for an 'I'm a better supporter than you are' competition) they are going to want back the money to which they are entitled. I'm not sure why that is a difficult concept.
It's not a competition. I know it's harder these days than when I started work there was BSC & the Mines then, good money jobs. But if you could have not everyone can don't always live for today. Tomorrow does come. Most people who bought a season ticket for Roth U in full had the money at the time to afford it. I can't see many of them wanting a refund. People who were paying the season ticket off I think in 10 payments weren't the last payment not taken out of their bank? Not 100 % sure on that.

I am retired now you know our group papering the living room with £50 notes paid for my season ticket up front if I am not allowed to attend the last home games the club can have the money what they do with it up to them. If some people want their money back ok.
Certain people want the league to finish the season not me what happens if someone player or staff catches this virus and dies not worth it. Some players start wearing gloves at the end of August I can see most of the players wearing masks be like watching casualty brilliant.

I'm sure the club would be happy to refund any supporters in real need who were to write to them - remember how well they dealt with the Plymouth flight scam, but I don't think they should be issuing a general refund. Apart from anything else, the EFL's position remains that they want to play the games, although I suspect they will be abandoned at some stage.

I agree that the club needn't pay refunds until a decision is made about whether the games will go ahead. If the games are written off, refunds must be paid. If that comes to pass it isn't right for anybody to suggest that everyone should waive it or have the club donate it anywhere. Nobody should presume how to tell others to spend their money. Everyone's needs are different. It is a personal decision.. Whilst gwru is right that people who paid for a season ticket last summer could evidently afford to do so back then, the world has turned upside down for a lot of people in the last few weeks. Some of those same supporters might not be in a position to turn down a refund now even if they were otherwise inclined to.
smiler it's not just if games are written off also it's if games are played behind closed doors it's only same. Streaming games is not for me. You aren't at the game end of. Regards refunds if you need the money take it when/if the club makes that decision, I've no problem with that. Should be given the choice. I don't need a refund sooner club keep it or money goes to a worthy cause.
There is one thing some people haven't thought of if the rest of this season is played. Footballers spitting I reckon in the current climate a player should be arrested. On the other hand certain players will accuse opposition players of doing it to get an advantage. Going to be very messy.

I haven't been on here or even looked at it for about a month until yesterday. I see nothing has changed. I see that in the last couple of days alone you have made it clear on several occasions that you aren't to a fiver, don't need and don't need a refund. That is up to you. To be clear, I am not necessarily talking about myself in my posts. I am not going to say much if anything about my own situation. I doubt that anyone is even remotely interested nor should they be. I am just mindful of the fact that behind this crisis we are going to see a tsunami of debt, poverty and hardship as a nation and that being the case I am not for telling people that they could or should do with money that is rightfully theirs. That is it really.
smiler I'm not preaching to anyone. Live your life how best you can. If you need a refund that's your business. Nothing to do with me. I haven't got a problem with that at all. Just that at the end of all this we have a football club. We want that to continue don't we. Sure we do.
