Why are some people so negative things will improve I think this season has gone as far as playing the rest of the fixtures out for divisions 1&2. Prepare for the next season I will be there even if I have to use a face mask some might say that will be an improvement. As the Monty Python song goes always look on the bright side of life.

There's hope for next season starting early Autumn. Was said open air events are safer as long as you travel there with just who you live with & don't go in pubs before you attend them. If you have to wear a face covering you'll have to. No problem to me that so you can watch a game. I'm optimistic for being back at the NYS then.

How will supporters be able to eat or drink at sporting events if wearing a face mask? A hole in the face mask to hold a drinking straw? A bigger hole for the food? It's very puzzling to say the least.

If you want to attend games while coming totally out of the lockdown you are going to have to make sacrifices. Have enough to eat before the game. Not drinking now so I can take that or leave it. Make sure you wash your hands after a toilet visit essential. One thing if you aren't drinking before the game queues at the toilets should be less.

I'm still not convinced by having football or any sporting event taking place behind closed doors. Sporting events or even music festivals are all about meeting your mates, having a drink and a bit of banter. I'd go even further to say that I'd not even bother to watch Premier League football if it was played behind closed doors and free to view on TV. Are those in authority saying, in error, that it might be safe to have Premier League football but not EFL matches taking place? If it's not safe for lower league football matches to be played then it'd be a huge risk for Premier League players to be asked to play out their remaining fixtures during the current climate. Everyone is at risk to this Covid19. The virus doesn't steer clear of any particular group of people. At the moment we are all still vulnerable.

An antibody test has just been developed by a Swiss pharmaceutical company and could be rolled out in the next few weeks. I hope this antibody test will be part of the wider strategy to put and end to Covid19.

Saying for a return to work social distancing may be eased. Basically keep to the hygiene procedures washing your hands & cover your mouth will be required. Isn't that the way forward for fans returning to football games. Not saying now but when next season starts could be September. Got to kick start getting back somewhere near normality some time.

It's been reported that face masks have been stockpiled for public use. However, it's not yet been made clear by the Government if they are going to be issued free of charge to those people being allowed back to work in the next few weeks especially if those workers have to  use public transport.

Strong rumours that the premier league will be concluded in June. Games to be played at F.A's National football centre in the Midlands with TV cameras only and players under lock-down away from families. Players from every club staying at local hotels under lockdown. No spectators. It seems the matches will be spread across the NFC's several pitches.

Totally agree Smiler. Apparently the preferred option is to play several games a day at Wembley. However,it looks like the travel involved has scuppered that.

The tories have spent the last month telling us, 'Stay at Home, protect the NHS,save lives'. The new mantra is ' Get back to work, protect the economy, save bosses'. They could now scrap safety rules that, up until now we were told are crucial to stopping the spread of coronavirus. Unfortunately, lack of money will make many feel they have no choice but to return to work. Scandalous is the correct word Smiler.

I would prefer null and void makes sense to me. I am not running the finances at the club if our chairman goes for playing behind closed doors I will accept it. We need a decision just the usual statement being trotted out by this great government of ours waiting until it is safe to do so not good enough. This season needs sorting out now I agree with the last poster money talks.

This government making out premiership football back will be good for the country. Whose missing it? I'm not. If you had only one choice pubs reopening or prem' football back I think I'd be going for a pint 1st. Another thing Sky, BT what about us still paying for sports, I am & you are going to show prem' football free. What about your sports subscribers what do we get? Government needs to make decisions now not like with covid-19 hoping to maintain it, then it's too late. At the end of this money chucked at premiership clubs needs to come to an end, subscriptions charges cut. With this government more chance of me becoming one of Warney's boys! Agree with TH the only fair way it's to call this season null & void. Can't have no relegations or points per games calculations.

So you think the 35 plus games in the Championship, div 1 and div 2 were meaningless and the league positions after those games are irrelevant Gwru.

What about promoting Leeds and W.B.A who are well clear of rivals and having no relegation from Premier. Thus making 22 teams in it. Let the premier league clubs throw out of the league cup if they wish to ease fixture congestion. Promote Coventry and us and have no relegation from the championship. In Div one have no relegation but promote the top three clubs from Division two into Division one. That means same number of teams in Championship and one more in Division one. No relegation from Division two but promote the top three clubs from the National League. That means same number of teams in Division two. The only problem with this is only two teams going up to the premier and it was promised that three would go up. Clubs in third to around tenth would have the lawyers working overtime to make a case. I could also see Yeovil, and Boreham Wood getting lawyers at it because they are only three points behind Notts Co and have a game in hand but with inferior goal difference.

One of the reasons i believe you, Gwru , think the season should be null and void is that your belief that Warne is no good, would lose its power. Surely that green tea drinker cannot get a side promoted to the championship. However, it could also give you more strength if we struggle as i expect we would in the championship. Whatever happens you will be correct in your eyes Gwru.

whiston01 I will never change my mind about Warney he's not a manager. TS of when he sacked Ronnie Moore we would have changed manager by now. The only reason I agree with TH about null & void from what I believe to be true that's final there can be no appeals against that if the season can't be completed. Other ways Paul Douglas said last week in the tizer there's got to be at least 75% in an open vote in each division of the EFL in favour of how the season ends for there to be no appeals against their decision.

Not sure what TS of when he sacked Ronnie Moore we would have changed manager by now means. If you are saying he sacked Ronnie Moore for less i don't think you are correct. We had just been hammered on Tv by Chesterfield i believe and Warne has got us in second position after 35 games so for me Warne should be praised not sacked.

Warney should have gone end of last season. We had best two players we'd had at the New York Ajayi & Vaulks but Warney's old pals good human beings doesn't work in the higher grade of the championship. I'll take you to where I live you won't find many Warney boys among Roth U fans there. Last January transfer window how bad was that two non-wide men brought in Adelakun & Koroma. Ended up with no defence. Good job league was suspended when it was.

From a PURELY FOOTBALL PERSPECTIVE…. Anyone that does not want to see an outcome that has us promoted, or a chance of promotion by playing out the season, instead of ‘cancelling’ the season as null and void, clearly has their own agenda that has nothing to do with being a true Millers fan..

Any true (& sane) Millers fan would hope to see us promoted, No argument, no Alternatives…

We haven't gone up still nine games for us to play a decision has to be made by the end of next week the way the prem and EFL are going about things not much chance anything happening. As for warney he will still be here next season cheap as chips. Being a true fan I want to know when season tickets for the 20/21 season are coming out this last season officially ended on May 3rd still in div 1 as far as I am concerned.

It's not about being a true Roth U fan. Want the best outcome when the season it's cancelled. All I know the only way it's null & void. All other ways it's like a fortune teller making the decision.

First and foremost football and where we start the next season really arent that important. However, if a line is now drawn under this season (as it should be in my opinion) a decision will have to be made by somebody. If we were half way through the season or less I would say call it null and void. But the season was 75% complete. By way of analogy, if a game is abandoned with twenty minutes to go because of a weather intervention or floodlights failure etc there is provision that the result can stand. Whatever they do, someone will be upset about it. All things considered and trying to be objective, I would say that with the finishing line so close common sense says that deciding it on a points per game basis seems like the fairest (least bad) option. Whether it results in a 'promotion' or not, this has clearly been a successful season from a results point of view.
