Not the BSC I worked at. 4 year apprenticeship. Have a shift off for no reason you wouldn't be working another one for them. I stuck it out. Was working 13 1/2 hr nights from being 18. Warney nearly player. No better manager.

Did he use a whip and a chair?

Do you remember Warne running us ragged in maybe 95, League Cup game against Wigan in maybe 95?

You do go to to home games, mean all

Here's my view.

You have never played football. You have never managed anything. Apart from getting your shoes on the correct feet in the morning.

No can't remember that game. I'd have been there. Can remember Warney joining us as a player. I just can't remember much about him as a player

In the good old days when I was an apprentice 10 hour night shift then straight to college finishing at 7pm by the time I got home 24 hour shift. I used to work with someone who got as far as the reserves for the millers did his training before his night shift. He was finish machining propeller shafts for ships told me the training was a doddle. Our one claim to fame we got barred for life from the Conservitive club on Atercliffe road happy days.

Does anyone remember a Welsh comedian Max Boyce his catch phrase I was there. How are they going to sort out who to let in if only 25% are allowed in me and gwru of course might be a bit of a scramble for the rest of you.

You Guys!

I've been wound up all day watching & listening to the ***mings (Yes he should flipping go!) debacle, then read the last two pages on here, laughed out loud, and you've cheered me up no-end.

Thank you...

On OP matters, looks like EFL will set a date 2mor on when votes take place on finishing season  & accepting PPG hopefully both votes on same day next week... fingers crossed we get enough in L1 agreeing to finish.

Weren't just Warney from Emlyne going to Ronnie managing 1st time they were the lost years. I was there all through that but nothing much stands out to me in the league. I'm thinking championship next season. Nigel Clough he's available if TS feels Warney isn't the manager to keep us there.

No link between how a manager was as a player and his ability to manage. Plenty of big time managers had mediocre careers so that's not a sign. Don't remember Nigel Clough being that good a player either and he had a father that could open lots of doors for him...

I don't share your views on Warney gwru, but I do think IF we go up, this WILL be a defining season for him.

As I've posted before, in my opinion, I think our squad is overall much better now than when we went up last time. So with a handful of additions I do think we ought to have a decent chance of staying up.

The irony is that I think Warney and his support team are probably already on the radar of a few other clubs who might fancy taking him, so if we stay up I think you might get what you want, but for the wrong reasons..

Anyway, one step at a time mate, let's hope we go up!!

Cheers & stay safe...

Same to you stay safe. Hope we are back at the NYS start of next season or delay it. It's Warney's job to lose. Don't waste wages next season like in the past & remember if you are good enough you are old enough. My opinion we've got some young talent coming through. Lamy & Kayode now, Cooper not far behind.

I watched the Health Secretary do the daily briefing today and explain the new Track and Trace system. He was crystal clear that people must continue with their social distancing, and that if they either get symptoms or get told by tracers that they have been close to someone who tests positive they must self-isolate and stay at home.

I then heard news that Premier League footballers are about to start full contact training imminently, and that if a player tests positive their teammates will not be expected to isolate - they will carry on playing.

I am struggling to reconcile the two things.

Easy to work out when you are part of the elite you can do what you want. As Paul Weller wrote the public gets what the public wants they voted for it. Remember track and trace starts tomorrow big brother is watching you.

Always said when prem' footballers start contact training social distancing is over especially with track & trace testing in. Even with that how can you expect people to comply with that when senior figures in government are seen to flaunt the lockdown rules. But hope most people do with track & tracing like they did with the lockdown then we'll be back to our normal way of living sooner. All back at the NYS in time for next season.

The end is near it says on the back of the Advertiser. Early next week for a decision and it looks odds on we will be promoted.

Now we all know that Gwru knows more than anybody, that's a given. Well what's this in this weeks local paper? Young Jake Cooper says this about his gaffer. He has been class. He is always demanding the best out of me and the other lads. All the players have so much respect for him and they will do whatever he asks of them. You will die for him regardless and that's been shown by how the lads have performed for him this season. Richie and Hammy are quality as well. It's a great coaching set-up and that's been proved by where we are in the league. He goes on to say. If we go up a loan to a lower league football club would suit him. Surely he is not talking about the green tea drinker and those coaches that know nowt. Ask the locals who go to gwru's pub and none have them have a good word for Warney. They know more than the green tea drinker and his coaching staff. Get Clough in goes the cry.

Now don't just take the word of a kid. In the same paper it talks to Lee Frecklington.Gwru has said many time how fat boy slim is a much better manager than the green tea softie. So you would expect Frecks to back that up surely. Well when asked about his best managers he said this. It's a tough one. Different managers are good for different reasons. Darren Ferguson is probably the best. He went on to say he cannot knock Paul warne or Danny Cowley. They are great people. Not a mention of the big lad. I am off to Gwru's local to find out what is right and wrong.

That article suggests that Jake Cooper himself knows he isnt ready for the Champiinship. Warne has handled the younger players really well. Let him and his staff get on with it. The funny thing is that Warne is universally highly rated by players who play or have played for him, by other managers and by pundits and experts who cover the game. The only people who dont rate him are a vocal minority of our own supporters.
