Another young player has been given a 2-year contract big enough to be a centre half at least a good bit of football news.

Cooper Kayode Lamy they are my boys. The future. We need a manager brave enough to give them a chance.

So Pep and Jurgen reckon that the Millers should drop three of the players who took the the Millers to the top of the league, although they have since plummeted to second. And start with three players with a few minutes of league experience between them. I have to admire your unshakeable conviction, despite the fact that neither of you understand anything about the game at a professional level, although, of course, you went to games at Don Valley Stadium.

TC just when football does return we've got some young players coming through. At moment far more important matters than sport. I can't see any football while August at least. Void this season. The powers that be make sure no clubs go out of business.

The only possible reason that any person would want to void this season for the Millers is someone who is obviously not a Miller at all or simply brain dead...

I should know better than to bite, but.. hey, nothing else to do...

I know who are my team that's all that matters. For the good of the whole of the EFL next season is now what matters. Get this virus under control before any thoughts of football returning.

I totally agree with gwru this season has gone. If the powers that be make it void so be it I know it rewards failure which is not fair Bolton will feel like they have won the lottery. Get some compensation to keep clubs going the most important thing is to have a club to support when we can get back to playing football again.

Good to hear Jake Cooper has been given a new contract. Like Kayode and Lamy, he is getting vital experience playing football at another club. I believe our coaching staff know what they are doing and it would have been wrong to thrust any of those three into our first team too early. After all it's hardly like we were struggling with the players who were in the first team.

Nobody knows when this awful virus will pass. It looks like the Premier and EFL want to finish the current season. That would mean giving the clubs around 3/4 weeks notice that football is starting back up. That is a shorter time than pre season training which is around six weeks. I do not believe games will be played behind closed doors. Portsmouth currently have four players with symptoms and surely most clubs have players self isolating and more than likely infected. Unless footballers are mass tested ( which they shouldn't be) i cannot see the sense in playing behind closed doors. They would be putting players, officials at risk and what about the six feet distance to be safe. A no go for me. An awful situation to be in. Let's just do what the experts say and get through this safely if we can. Good luck everybody.

Without wanting to minimise the present crisis by talking about football it does give me some relief from being in the vulnerable age group and also having underlying issues.

I think we should forget about arbitrary dates and let things take their course. When it is safe to play football in front of a paying crowd we should finish the 2019/20 season. Then decide what date the 2020/21 season starts if we have to go October to May/June so be it. Football has to have a purpose therefore there needs to be a conclusion to the present season.

Actually I will be happy to still be around.

Keep safe.

A great post by Iwasatvillapark. I am now coming round to the belief that a season has to have a conclusion. This is a change to what i originally thought. Stay Safe 'Villa'.

I have in the sports media seen a very sizeable group of current managers are not happy about playing the season out. Listened to one on sky sports he said there would be that many injuries plus the momentum has gone. For me, if I can not go no fans no football another ex-player put the same argument. With what is happening I am not even interested it would be a lot better if we had some clarity in the situation. He also stated that all they are interested in is the prem league the EFL want help that is I tended to agree with him saying that saving all of the league clubs comes first.

I also hope we all come through this situation safe I have got to do my weekly shop on Thursday hope it is safer than the last time I went told go online to do it the site crashed at the weekend. I have done what has been asked but I have to eat have a big problem with what I can eat I can only get suitable food at the big superstores. I am taking my tape measure with me as one woman said to me with her trolley stacked high just like Christmas that really cheered me up.

For the benefit of everyone, can you restrict your future posts to a maximum of two lines in order to make them semi-intelligible

This is a question I would like to ask people on this site if we were to finish this season. As far as I am concerned it would be the same as starting a new season 5 weeks pre-training haven't got a clue about loan players maybe some new ones in. When was the last time we were in a promotion position after 9 games my guess is in the years at the NYS never.

I'd swap loans now we wouldn't lose out. Bilboe I'd like to see what he can do for Iversen. Lindsay for Barlaser. Adelakun & Koroma definitely wouldn't miss them. In return we could get Cooper, Lamy & Kayode back.
