I can't see any satisfactory outcome other than finishing the fixtures. Anything esle would be carnage, with clubs suing because they thought they would be promoted, or not relegated etc.
Now the EFL have paid out some dosh to compensate clubs, it should reduce the financial impact of no crowds, so playing next couple of months (and potentially rest of season) behind closed doors seems the way forward...
Spare a thought for the club players, their families and friends for a moment. They too could be affected by this virus. They need to stay safe. Playing football is probably the last thing on their minds at the moment. They will no doubt need to keep fit and well. I cannot see any football being played for several months. The peak of Covid19 has been forecast to be at its height late May early June this year. Even public transport has been declared a no go option overnight.
The avg amount of registered deaths per month in England & Wales in 2019 was about 46000.. ONS.
The arbitrary corona virus related 'death toll' (RIP) that the manipulative media put out daily provides zero context! Like age & whether they had underlying health issues etc
The chances of dying from the corona virus at the moment in the UK are 600,000/1! You've more chance of being killed by the normal flu virus! PHE estimates that on average 17,000 people die from the flu in England annually.
The only thing this entire shambles proves really is how easily the media can manipulate the masses!
The statistics come from the WHO and government not the media. However you are correct the media love to scare us. This virus is serious and it is common sense to treat it as such and follow the guidelines and hope the impact on your family and friends is minimal
