I know there is a lot on this site do not like it but the last three home games have been poor. Fluked a win against Burton rubbish draws against two teams near the bottom of the league. The year's I have been watching football I can smell a promotion I honestly can't see it this time.

I would ask the mods on this site to ask certain people to refrain from their usual boring grammar / spelling personnel abuse messages you are an easy example. In future I will not answer any more of your childish tirades. If you are a real supporter try going to a few more games.

TC I understand a long way. Let's look on the bright side. Could have lost Saturday, Iverson saved us near the end. We are still in the automatic promotion places outright. All to play for.

Yes, there is always that gwru. We may have a spineless and clueless manager and the worst bunch of players in the history of the club, but in these dark days for RUFC we can at least take a crumb of comfort from the fact that we are in an automatic promotion place in League One with ten games of the season to go. Thanks for keeping everyone's spirits up, old boy.

Judd Trump won players championship last night, his clearance in the deciding frame against Maguire in the semi final as there been one better? Alex Higgins against Jimmy White in the world championship only one I can think of to compare. Cheltenham next week. Doesn't get no better. Regards our side we can tweak it abit. Tilt for Wood. Option at full back. I'm going Ogbene Lindsay Barlaser Wiles across the middle with Smith & Lapado up front. Why no Crooks. Lindsay once match fit technically a better midfield player.

I really must stop responding to your posts Gwru but i have fell for the trap again.

We are currently on a run of losing one game in the last fourteen, a run which took us to the top of the league and we now sit in second. Here is a couple of facts i am sure you will choose to ignore. In the game we lost at Peterborough ( last defeat) have a guess who missed the game. One Matt Crooks. Now the two previous defeats were against Rochdale and Portsmouth. Now, you will never guess who didn't play in them. One Richard Wood. I will leave it at that because i am sure if we had played somebody instead of them we would have won those games and if we had left Crooks and Wood out in the last fourteen we would be miles clear at the top. Aye ok.

Btw what has Judd Trump, Alex Higgins and Cheltenham got to do with the MK Dons game. Just thought i would ask.

No need to tweak anything - we are second in the League and need to stick with the formula which got us here. Assuming the weather has now reverted to some semblance of normality and that Barlaser is fit for Saturday, I'd stick with the starting XI against Coventry. Crooks and Barlaser are our key midfield pairing and Smith/Lapado our most effective up front threat. Keep calm - no kneejerk reactions required.
Onwards and upwards.

I have taken time to absorb and reflect on what was a frustrating day, including the Coventry match, we have now dropped a possible 6 points from winning positions.

This is not a Warne bash, far from it. But I feel some issues need to be addressed by me with a couple of points that need to air they may have been discussed on other posts but these are my thoughts so didn't want to be influenced.

1) Free kicks and corners it looks like barlaser is our only player capable of delivering corners as mattock was dire at both the corners and free kicks. We need another player to step up

2) We let lamy go out on loan and have replaced him with adelakun who is right footed and yes first two matche**** the ground running but has faded away, as a result we are relying on ogbene as our outlet.

3) Warne in my opinion still errs on the side of caution. We should have gone 3 up front
i would have subbed wood for either tilt or thompson to give defence fresh legs vassell for olosunde and changed to 3 4 3 formation

whiston01 it's a sports forum. Could have started a new thread but you've got acknowledge the brilliance of Judd Trump now & Alex Higgins back in the day. Cheltenham been my main week for over 40 years. Been once. It's just the best but I don't expect many if any to get it. Regards Roth U feel it's time for Tilt in for Wood. Lindsay impressed me with his passing. As I've said good players let the ball do the work. Can only get better with games. Hillsborough Vassell Saturday when he came on gave us nothing. Smith & Lapado up front got to be.

My third line read.' Here is a couple of facts i am sure you will choose to ignore', and you did. Is there really any point in posting.

As for it being a sports forum. I think its title gives it away. Millers banter.

whiston01 I didn't ignore the facts as you stated them. Just you can't stand still, things change in a season. Players change.

I've got no complaints evryone is really trying...if we wanna do this though we have absolutely got to start punishing teams when we're on top in games controlling possession and creating most chances. It shouldn't need for us to make 3 chances to an oppositions 1 to score the same amount of goals which seems to be happening recently. Goals change games as we know especially when teams score first.
