Advantages to match called off 1 fresher for playing coventry Tuesday. 2 possibly better playing surface 3 having the game in hand can keep the pressure up on the other teams

Chairman in the tizer today reckons this is the best squad he has seen in his time here. See how we go on for the rest of the season proof is in the pudding.

We face an in form Accrington tomorrow. A side who has won the last three games, beating Lincoln and Wimbledon at home and Shrewsbury away. I think it's fair to say they are generally inconsistent. Beating Portsmouth 4-1 in December but then losing to Southend in January, both games at home.

Only Peterborough have scored more goals at home. They average just over two goals a game at home with 31 goals in fifteen home games. Colby Bishop is leading goalscorer but he has been injured since early/mid Jan and returned as sub against Lincoln in the latest game. Dion Charles has scored a few but as they tend to play 4:2:3:1 i would be surprised if both played. The danger man is probably a local lad from Hoyland. Jordan Clark. He started his career at Barnsley but never really made an impact. He moved to Stanley in 2016 and has been an ever present. This season he has scored seven in all competitions and has also had seven assists. He is a right winger so whoever plays left back could be in for a tough game.

They score at home (31) and we score away (26) so i don't think i am sticking my neck in saying i expect both teams to score. I expect a tough game and a scoreline of 2-2 which would be a fair return imo.

nice summary mate...

a draw would be ok but it's so tough we could do with the win

strange - in August I would have been delighted with an end of season play-off place, now we all want top 2..

Still wondering why vassell gets the nod v ladapo. From the BBC commentary seems not even in game. IMO this is what Warne gives ammo to those who thinks he picks his favourites. Unless madam.is carrying an unknown injury why is he not playing. Vassell hasn't scored now in what 3 or 4 matches. He could be forgiven for not scoring when out of position but now in striking role and goals have dried up.

I'm at Accy. It's a horrible game. Conditions are near impossible. Freezing and very windy. The ball is drifting sideways at times Give me a one nil win now and I'll snap your hand off. I'd be tempted to take a draw if it was offered. Vassell is doing alright. Not great but no better or worse than anyone else. It's just a battle out there so I can understand him starting ahead of Ladapo. Wind is across the pitch but I think also a bit behind us second half. UTM

Freddie is our only natural goalscorer and the top scorer seems very strange to keep playing Vassell and Smith. I can't see Freddie staying happy as a sub every week if he keeps scoring like this.

Another fantastic win in dreadful conditions. This team can knock out results regardless of the weather. Cmon Smiler - get that match report written and no grumbling about how cold your fingers are!

Onwards and upwards. UTM

Good win in what sounded like difficult conditions. Not seen any one so far complaining about the officials bit strange. Wiles got a bit of a hammering from some people not from me in the last few weeks great a local lad banging in the winner. Nice easy game on Tuesday.

Someone who went said Olosunde our MOTM. Mattock? Wood again struggled with the conditions. Adelakun poor again shouldn't have started. He questioned bringing Wiles on but he scored the winner. Got to be game to bring Lindsay in a midfield 3 at Coventry. Way I look at it 4pts from the last 2 games we would have took before them. Still at the top after Coventry game then a winnable home game. I'll take that.

Just watched sky brief highlights. Great block by Olosunde. Wiles not the most convincing header but not complaining. Crooks unlucky at the end. Ladapo was in the script he was going to get on & score but he seems to sniff chances out.

I thought Olosunde was excellent. He made a goal saving challenge first half and made some tremendous surging runs particularly second half. I also thought Crooks and Wood were very good. Accrington are a decent side and that is a very good three points in terrible conditions. Their equaliser was a kick in the teeth coming so soon after we took the lead, and it was an odd one. We were at the other end so I might have seen it wrong but the lad seemed to totally mis-hit it into the ground and it bounced and looped over Iversen. To come back and get another to win it showed real character. Great work from Wiles to get in off the left wing in front of his marker and get a good glancing header across the keeper. We had a tremendous following, about 50% of the attendance, and the applause for Adam Thompsons father who passed away last week was very moving. Thompson looked very emotional at the final whistle. That's what we are all about. We have a togetherness that can count for plenty. I try to be fair as far as refs are concerned whether we win, lose or draw. I slated the ref against Burton, which we won. The referee today had no really controversial decisions to make. He was a tiny bit fussy, but overall I thought he handled the game well. Neither team tried to waste any time which helped They were at home and tried to win it, and we wanted the three points. The game was scrappy because there was half a gale blowing across the pitch, but it was well contested and both sides gave their all. And Glenn - I took two pairs of.gloves today. Once bitten, twice shy! Still bloody cold though.

Just seen the highlights of Saturday's win at Accrington, that block by Olosunde was pure magic to watch. Reminded me of Bobby Moore
