The fact is that we have won eight of the last nine games, so even if Lindsay is fully fit and raring to go (I don't know any more than you about that gwru although his family issues were well do***ented) he can hardly complain about having to wait for an opportunity.

Back on topic.

Personally I fear Coventry more than any of the others up there with us. I know that we beat them easily at our place but they have only lost three games all season. Hoping for a draw between them and Portsmouth, but if either of them have to win I would rather it be Portsmouth.

I think out of the top 6 Sunderland Coventry and Peterborough will be challenging us for the automatic.

I have this feeling this will go to the wire with us needing to beat Sunderland for an automatic place

It would be ironic if the top two happened to be Peterborough and Coventry - both having been stuffed 4-0 at NYS!

I see more crystal balls are coming out I should not be surprised because the usual suspects are talking it. Listen to me and mystic gwru when we put our 2 minds together it Is magic.

I'm one mind! I don't need crystal balls. Like I do with the horses I rule out not good enough. Works same with Roth U how I see it but not how the manager sees it in only some areas. Most of the side picks itself.

What about the experts on this site making a prediction as to where we finish at the end of the season. Mine is we will make the playoff's that is it. Don't ask me to gamble on it better things to do with my money.

There's usually one club that makes a late dash for promotion (its been us before) but this year there's a few in the running. When all the games in hand are played there's probably 3 points across 8 teams.

I've not seen anybody but you THMiller predicting where we will finish. I tried to start a new, relevant football thread that was about other teams matches not even ours and within a few posts we get cheap digs, horse racing and more criticism of the manager. Terrific stuff.

If you have a look back it was a good thread until gwru's insightful post when for some unfathomable reason he had to remind us that he thinks MacDonald is crap and Lindsay good. Most threads go the same way. Shame.

Seriously - would it be impolite to ask TH and gwru to refrain from commenting on threads started by others, unless they have a specific point to make about the OP. ie. no repetition of well worn statements, no sidetracking onto unrelated topics, no digs at other posters etc?

This doesn't stop them starting their own threads on which they can say whatever they like.

As long as it doesn't get personal I might not always agree with all the posts but whenever have I had digs at as you say with other posters other than concerning mostly Rotherham United.

I never try to get personal I get called some very abusive things on this site not concerned in the slightest I do try to reply in a tongue in cheek manner as they say greatness is not always appreciated. I know it goes over the top of your heads lighten up we do not all think the same. Just because I do not happen to think warney is the best thing since sliced bread doesn't make me a bad person.

Well done Smiler - helping Wimbledon to keep Ipswich at bay. How did the Wombles look ahead of Saturday? Pity about the late Coventry winner but Fleetwood did us a favour at Wycombe. Not a bad night for us and we'll be the freshest team in the League come Saturday!
